Petition to get rid of the bad beats forum i don't go there either, but my only concern is that those that do feel the need to post bad beats will post them elsewhere. but if it went away, i wouldn't notice (unless those bad beats started showing up here) Posted in: MTT Strategy |

Did I get low value from this BB special? bottom 2 pair (esp. this low) are drawn out on or counterfieted so often, i like to end the hand right there on the flop (esp with the 2 spades). so i like the first bet, but i'd probably reraise when he min-raises your bet. especially b/c you're giving great odds to the guy behind you to draw out. and on the turn i'd be betting 70-90% of the pot too. if the flop wasn't so draw heavy, i might get a little more tricky, but usually i play small 2 pairs pretty scared ;) but don't necessarily listen to me - let's see what members who know what they are talking about say... ;) Posted in: MTT Strategy |

hopeless call with crippled stack such a geek! i was actually pretty happy with my instant guesstimate calculation of this in my head. when i ran it in pokerstove i was pretty much right in line with what i figured. but beyond the math, i guess the thought briefly crossed my mind that i could have a slightly better spot (lol) on the next hand if i woke up with a decent hand, but i quickly dismissed it. 2 part question...part 1 wow - thanks for all the discussion on this while i wasn't looking. i think firaldo got the pros and cons down of each of those plays. we may differ style-wise though. for me, i go between options 1 and 3. i've been doing a lot more flatting in position lately for pot control. and assuming others are flatting fairly frequently, that's why i don't like option 2 - if they flat it's an awkward spot. with option 1, i don't lose much if i have to fold. and i did fold to the squeeze. i don't like AQ THAT much.
