Depositing on pokerstars In Australia
Hey guys. I'm travelling in Australia and I just set up a pokerstars account. Wannaa know what anyone thinks is the best/easiest way to deposit money. Im not sure I can set up a bank account here so want some other options. Any thoughts' Thanks guys

Sounds like you have a decent number of options. Just the fact that you still have pokerstars is awesoome. Will potentially be moving to Melbourne for a few months. Cant wait heard nothing but great things about the city/country

'Live Poker Drawing Dead'
Brandon Adams had an interview on cardplayer recently where he said the model for Live Poker Professionals is quickly dying out. As a result of variance, taxes, living and travel expenses and most importantly RAKE, its his opinion that traveling for live poker is becoming increasingly more difficult. Marine survives two tours in Iraq, killed by SWAT at home
In post after post, i fail to understand how people harshly criticize the SWAT team. If i understand correctly, the police were issuing a search warrant/raid of a highly suspected criminal who was involved in drugs, home invasion, and the like. If the video above is the real video of the raid, the police blared a siren and yelled "police" upon approaching the house. Granted the force may seem excessive, as 60 shots were fired, but in their defense, the person in the house was holding a military grade rifle after being clearly alerted that police were at his door. Casino ruling on a slow roll
what should always happen is the dealer should muck the cards BEFORE pushing the pot. Once the player throws the cards in they should be mucked so no ambiguity exists

Poker on TV No longer interesting... Why?
I feel like this point is always made and repeated, but i think the way espn decides to broadcast the wsop and especially the main is good to attract more ppl to poker and keep "average" parttime poker fans (not grinders) interested in the game. People enjoy watching and finding out about people stories and be able to follow them throughout the main, despite it being long. Might be a little dry for those of us who want a deeper type of coverage but in the end espn has to attract casual viewers.

How do you play this top set, fairly deep stacked
Im def not shoving here. I also dont think im flatting b/c theres alot of turn cards that potentially hurt our hand. I like just raising flop here to about 15k or enough to make your turn shove the right size. He might decide to just go with any flush draw, which were happy to run against, and if he has a reall hand like KJ or JJ or 77 then hes likely never folding and we double up in a great spot. Its a 10 dollar rush tourny, i really doubt this guy has to have AA or QQ. He could even have like Q 10, J7, K7, and maybe hes never folding. Raise flop, shove turn

Tough spot in the Venetian $550 yesterday
Agree he has 2 pair and pair/draw hands here. But im just curious if i read correctly, hero has 15k and the guy that leads into this pot has 4k behind. When we raise flop and but him in presumably making it 6600 or maybe a little less, are we folding to a the shove of the BB who shoved here. In other words, do you expect the guy to fold his two pairs here, or do we expect him to flat his two pair/draw hands' Sometimes its tough to know how some live players are thinking about their hands. In a way i think your flop flat makes it a little easier to put it in here.

Rush poker tournies
I just saw a full tilt commercial for the "new exciting Rush poker". I know its been brought up especially when rush ring games started, but what effect are rush poker tournaments gonna have on what people want to play. Is it gonna draw ppl away from regular mtt's' People that often get bored with tournaments may be drawn to it, or people that don't like folding. Im just curious what everyone thinks is gonna come out of rush poker mtts, and also do you like/ dislike them, what are your overall thought on the idea
