Mad Men Season 5
I really liked this weeks episode. I am so worried about Lane, I really like his characters and its nice to see them exploring his character but the fact that he could be written out scares me. Also I fucking love Red. "Theres an airplane here to see you" was so awesome. This was only the 2nd episode where she was really present so I really like seeing her deal with her problems. I think she is hot but besides that I really like her character.

Thank you. And to answer PHG. Yes certain times the symptoms of depression would be more natural in certain cases but depression is not getting teary eyed once in a while. I suffer from severe depression and borderline peronsality disorder so I can speak to this to some degree but I am not a psychologist. Depression comes in many forms. There are peope who suffer from seasonal depression or people who temoprarily get reduced to depression due to life events, maybe like a divorce or death. Coming to terms with the fact that sobreity is something the addict must chose was the hardest thing to accept growing up. I always thought I could fix them or help them but I finally realized I could not. Its still something I have trouble dealing with. I always want to make them better but I just cant. Both. I mean adoption is a states issue and people who move from one state to another where they do not allow a gay couple to have children wont recognize both parents. Or when they adopt only one of them is the rightful guardian. This is a big deal for many couples. The discrimination is both and changing. Until recently there were not laws that proteted gays from being fired for just being gay. In the education system this is still a huge issue. When I give money to people I dont expect it back but I normally dont loan out money. My family are the only people who ask me for money and normally I will buy them food or whatever they need rather than give them money since they are huge drug addicts. I agree with Sax forgive but dont forget.

Serious tipping thread.
If its bad service 15%, normally 20%, and great service and food we will tip more than 20%. We have only stiffed twice and both times it had to be done. There was no excuse for the way we were treated.

People who are filled with that much hatred for other people just make me sad inside. They really do. I am proud to be linked to the gay community and it makes me a happier person to accept other people, if you want to hate the world and it will make your exsistance much darker. Oh well hopefully there will be less hate in years to come.

Not Quite Threadworthy (OT's Dumping Ground) - May 2012
Actaully I would be aiming for an assistantship at University of PA where when you are admitted to the program your tutiton, fees, and health insurance are covered for 5 years. I am currently working with some teachers to get two of my papers published as an undergrad, my GPA is awesome and I plan on continuing to do awesome during my MA. I want to do lots of literary research so I think my chances of finding a job with a unviersity might be good after I graduate. If not I am loving the learning experience :)

Okay so I feel lame that I am unsure of "wug" maybe meaning where you going or what you got.....so I am going to answer this how I think it should be answered lol I want to get my MA in English Literature (probably stay at Salisbury University where I graduate in Dec) then I really want to go to the University of PA to get my PhD with my literature focus being on American Lit. (19th century and on) and also Film since those are my two real passions. With the rate I am going now I should have my PhD at 25/26 depending on how long my dissertation takes.

Mad Men Season 5
Thats a cool idea too. I would love to do an in-depth analysis of Don in one of my film courses but when I saw the chance to discuss Don's character in relation to my Finacier paper I took it. I just think its amazing how in both cases we love characters who seem to make up thier own morality as they and I think Frank's motto of "I satisfy myself" could also easily be Don's motto. They both represent Nietzche's idea of the Uberman. This paper is actually one I am going to try and get published as an undergrad. Also I love the score to MadMen I always think the music choices are spot on.

Mad Men Season 5
This is really one of the only show I look forward to watching anymore. I think overall it is really well done and beautifully shot. I am writing paper on how the system of Capitalism requires socio/psychopaths in relation to The Financier and one of my sources discusses why audiences are so intrested in characters like Don. I really like how they have developed the characters in these 5 seasons and I look forward to the rest of the season.

TV show "Touch" season one thread
I give up control over the tv so josh can enjoy basketball without having to watch anything he doesnt want to. It seems fair since I normally pic what we watch so I never complain when he just wants to watch sports. I will probably set it up to record and watch the episodes I have missed on demand or something.
