In late 2008, Matt won the TitanPoker ECOOP III Event #5 for $91,800 just one month after final tabling the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed for another $52,500. In January '10, he took down the PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed for $60,000.
In March 2012, Kay banked $118,000 in a $5,000 buy-in tournament on Ongame and also won the PartyPoker $200K for $57,000. He also won that month's Monthly PLB title.
In July 2012, he won the Ongame $200K for $35,000 and subsequently ascended to #1 in the PocketFives Rankings, the first new player at the top of the Rankings in four months. The next month, he finished second in the 888 $100K for $14,000. In September 2012, he final tabled a WCOOP High Roller Event and collected $100,000. In the first month of 2013, Kay final tabled the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl and walked off with $10,000.
The next month, he rolled through the field of the Sunday Million on PokerStars and pulled in $121,000 for a fourth place showing. One week later on February 10, 2013, Kay finished second to fellow PocketFiver meteze in the PartyPoker $300K and cashed in for $29,000. In March 2013, he finished second in the PokerStars Sunday 500 and cashed in for $61,000. The same month, Kay final tabled an FTOPS $322 NLHE event and walked away with $11,000.
