Re:No thread on the China/Google Implications???
Surely then the poker sites would have latched onto this. For them breaking the Chinese market truly would be the holy grail.

No thread on the China/Google Implications???
I've had a quick scan and haven't found anything on the subject yet, so.. Given that, as far as I understand, Google is now redirecting Chinese internet traffic through Hong Kong, and from when I was there during the Beijing Olympics, I know that gambling related sites of all kinds were censored - what implications would it have if it is the case that censorship of sites is now lifted' From what I can tell it still seems uncertain what the outcome of the change is, but surely it's entirely possible that if China is now unrestricted in their internet access, this may enlighten ...

Re:Live Poker in Scotland?
Its been a while since I played in any, however... The Cincinnati Club in Glasgow have cash games for sure, they didnt used to run all the time but I cant say Ive been for well over a year. Elsewhere in Glasgow, The Riverboat Casino and Merchant Casino have tournaments every night, but not sure about cash. There is also a small club called the Wabash Club that may have cash. In Edinburgh there is only the Maybury that I know of who also stage tournaments, but again not sure about cash. Im sure if you call some of these places when you get there you will find out what you need to ...

Re:2,500 fpps on stars for $40 a good deal?
This is a GREAT DEAL. The closest straight fpp for cash swap to this is 250,000fpps for $4000. Having said this, what rate does concierge service get' I assumed it was 0.016 like almost everything else'

Re:How do you arrange your tables ?
Valid point. I will certainly treat plays differently depending on stake, although on Stars you can just glance to the top of the box to see this, if you play all the same kinds of game then I would arrange by stake. You could also spend more time/focus in a little more on the highest stake games this way.

Mobile Broadband in the UK
If anyone has encoutered this before me... Do all or only some providers work with poker sites' (chiefly Pokerstars). Would pay as you go be sufficient if only used as a backup' - Im not really sure how much data usage 30 tabling takes up, but it would be for rare connection drops from my home connection.

Why this' I actually meant PimpinDonks by the way, I think Rounder63 was top last year. Besides that, everything else I said was true...'

Re:Sustainable ROI for 45-Mans??
I don't play on tilt but I know of Rounder63 (I think) who plays the 45s on tilt and he's the top ranked 45s player this year, you wont get a long term ROI much higher than his. You need to play a lot more to have an idea of your long term ROI but 35% seems a little high, it will probably be lower in the long run.

Result = less fish, MORE sharks, because the players who have always been great will be better and because the player pool is stagnant, those who once were good players will evolve into great players.

Re:Battle of the Planets - What is a breakeven score?
I see what you mean. I think it does actually differ depending on which sngs you play because the 2+2 thread had the breakeven at >1100 for 6max, but with my math I found the breakeven score for 18 mans to be 948... over 1100 does seem a very high score for breakeven.

Re:UK/euro players - do you avoid US sites?
You would DEFINITELY make more profit on a site with poorer players, how is this even a matter of debate! Adjusting shoving ranges can be a wholescale move rather than by individual players, additionally you would be reaching the bubble in more tournaments... I play solely on Stars for many reasons even though I'm certain its the toughest site to play on, but they take care of their players so well and the software is easy to 30 table, not to mention its actually possible to get 30 tables on the go within a few minutes. Also it would take a hell of a lot of time relearning simple bits ...

This. I can see very few ways in which this won't be lame, if he ends up winning the WSOP ME I think I'll chuck. The great thing about the first one was the strong acting and story, not the poker, I can't help but feel this one will be too poker centered.

Battle of the Planets - What is a breakeven score?
Would be interesting to know what score is breakeven over 100 games. I'm pretty sure it'll be an exact number whether its a 6man table or a 27man because of the way the points are tiered. Anyone know'

Re:downstreaks SNGs not as bad as they seem
I play the 18/45/180s and ive been on a killer downswing for >3000 games. Its hard to work out how many buyins im down because the stake levels I play are so varied, but Im pretty certain on average its close to 150 buyins. Its easy to see how it can happen considering the games I play are much larger fields, all it takes is ten big coinflips, 3:2s or even 4:1s in a row not to go your way at the 180s and it could be the difference between a mincash ($24) and one of the top spots (1st pays $594), and so its easy to see why you're in such a slump. All I can say is if you know you are ...

Re:45 man ICM calculator
Hmm, ok... but I think you know what I mean. Is there a Nash push/fold calc out there that deals with 7 places paid' I know how to fix the normal one thats set up as 0.5, 0.3, 0.2 for an 18man by switching the numbers around but it wont work if I put in the 45man payment structure. Thanks

Re:What Life is Better: Cash Game or MTT Grinder?
Cash is more convenient - sit down and play and when youre done, finish hands on all tables and leave. Tournaments, the swings are bigger, which means there's more lows, but the highs are much better as well.

You can email your past tournament history from the lobby, but chances are youve played more by now I imagine. Support actually emailed me all my tournaments from that day so I could pick them out from the list for them. Are the refunds starting to hit accounts yet' Still havent got mine.
