Summer Vegas Package
Hey guys, This summer I'm going to be making my first trip to Las Vegas and I am looking forward to hopefully having a successful trip. In order to make this trip a possibility I am looking to sell around 60 to 70 % of my action. I am charging 1.25 markup for the entire package. Beforehand I was worried about not being able to redeposit with my card, but with the ability to transfer now and purchase money I'd definitely not mind taking a more aggressive route as far as keeping less money online goes. I've left around 2.5k on Merge and 2k on Bovada (sounds so weird lol) to give you an estimate. I'm usually skipping things like turbo 20r, 82r, and sometimes DHR if I don't satty in, and usually skip 100c unless it's a Sunday. I also haven't really been putting in heaps of volume cuz of school so that's something else to consider, but you can def get away w/ keeping less ...

Bodog leaves US market - now Bovada.lv
Doubt there's much to worry about. The only thing that has changed is the name FFS. It's still run by the same people it has been for the past 4 years, it just is now called Bovada instead of Bodog. As far as cashouts, I've recently read in an e-mail that cashouts are taking up to 3 weeks now due to what is most likely an increased number of requests due to ppl withdrawing their roll following the software changes.

Yeah that's basically it haha. I'm not exactly sure what it stands for or if it is applicable in this context, but I'm sure a quick Google search could give you a better definition than I. Most people are charging like 10 cents on the dollar, but if you search hard you can find better rates, ie 8 cents on the dollar etc.

I've had some pretty absurd amounts on after binking 100k and it is not a settling feeling to say the least haha. Luckily there are ppl out there willing to move large sums of money for a minimal vig and can get you your money within a week. If you make any substantial amounts I HIGHLY recommend taking this route rather than trying to get a withered 2.5k check every month at best. Edit: Might I add that busting your account also isn't the end of the world these days because you can simply buy some money from someone else w/ vig and save some money on your deposit, which sort of acts like an ...

Merge and Bovada (Bodog) Deposits & Cashouts
Send your bank info and get your money. Same thing has happened to countless of other people who have gotten their money the 2nd time with no problem. This is just a byproduct of the environment in which we must choose to play poker now here in the United States. We know that sites are using sketchy processors and constantly moving to new processors. I'm pretty sure we all know the risks we are taking when depositing. If you aren't comfortable with those risks, simply don't deposit online!

I'm fairly certain Bodog isn't the only site he's playing. Bodog also has a legit license in the UK which was the reasoning behind leaving the US market in the first place; they want to make their brand more legit.

Definitely sounds applicable and particularly relevant to the stage I'm at right now in my life. I'll def be checking this out. I think sometimes addressing this aspect of poker is often overlooked and that it can be so beneficial to not only your poker career, but your life in general. The most rewarding aspect of poker for me is translating a learned skill in poker and making it applicable to other dimensions of life.
