Re:Who do YOU think was the 2nd best player at this years m.e. final table?
Buchman %100. I didn't see his hole cards, but I didn't see any mistakes from him at all and if they were I'd say marginal at worst. Cada had some credibility until he played heads up vs. moon like a complete clueless rookie. Actually I take that back, he kept playing massive pots preflop with small pairs vs. the tightest player at the table, Schuman, which is just foolish for a player who should know better.

Re:ATTN: Heads up freezout pros
Assuming its %5 rake, 3/2 would constatute a %14 ROI, which seems pretty good, especially at higher limits. 5/3 would be %19, and 2/1 would be a whopping %31. Maybe I'll do some sharkscope detective work...

ATTN: Heads up freezout pros
I'm just curious what sort of average win/loss ratio a typical pro would expect from Heads up freezouts. 3/2' 2/1' better than that' Obviously it would depend heavily on the buy in you play at. For those of you who play multiple games, do you believe you can obtain a better ratio in some games as opposed to others despite a skill difference' I consider myself a better heads up PLO player then NLH player, but my NLH results have been slightly better. I'm running a test over the next week or so to see how many matches I need to play to get 100 more wins than losses. I'm at 15 wins ...

Re:FTP chop is absolute garbage
That's a good point, although in poker I think an edge can be gained in anything and you should be able to if you have the ability. Why not just put up ICM odds during the entire tourney so everyone knows what their hand is worth, that way better players can't take advantage of fish' It's the same thing IMO.

FTP chop is absolute garbage
Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that the chop shows what your stack is worth according to ICM' The last thing they need is to introduce the average poker player to a concept they absolutely don't understand and could potentially make them better. Don't get me wrong, I like the concept. I just hate the fact that they work out the numbers for you.

maybe you don't understand... I don't care if a site moderator comes to the table and says in chat "If revelfd calls here he will get knocked out of the tourney by shepdog44's AA" You still call.

Re:2 Weeks to main event.. Aspiring star LF advice/coaching/mentor.
I don't think there's any coach in the world who could get you 'ready' to play like a pro in the main event within 2 weeks. Sounds to me that you got lucky enough to win a seat into the biggest poker tournament in the world and now have realized that you aren't prepared for it. I have no idea what your approximate skill level is, but your best bet is probably to wait until after the tournament is over and try to find a coach to help you improve your game so that you will be ready if this scenario ever arises again. Just go play your best tournament game and hope for some ...

Re:Im not baller enough to join M16, So im starting my own group!
I'd be interested in joining something like this. I dont care what stakes people play as long as their all strong players with something to offer as far as strategy and theory, and possibly to network with when I go out to a tournament series. I've been playing semi-pro live poker for about 3 years. Not much to brag about online, but you can OPR or SS me for my credentials. WOLFKRY on stars, tilt, and cereus. Send me a PM for my Skype info.

Re:what do you think of this play?...is it good or was i out of line?
I would never reraise this hand vs. an early position raiser. As a matter of fact I would rarely even call with it. Plus your bet on the flop is so small it's gross. But I dunno it worked though.

Re:goodbye miniftops?
So in a sense you would never be a factor for main FTOPS in the first place. I think many people who would opt to play in the lower one might play the high event if they didn't have a choice. I think it takes out alot of the people trying to pull a chris moneymaker and get a huge payday for a $XX satellite when they may still get that payday without having to satellite in.

Re:Please Help Did i play this set right??????
I'm going to have to comment again, nothing personal about my first post quoting you, I just think people don't always play the way you would think in these spots. I agree that if you bet you lose the chance that someoine will bluff with a flush draw. However that is highly unlikely in this scenario for 2 reasons. First, not very many people would call such a large bet on the turn with a naked flush draw. Yes, some will at this level, but I think you're much more likely to have someone show up with a random ace. Secondly, people who are dumb enough to still have 9 high on the ...

Re:PLO8/b low stakes cash game... I play this hand well?
I have to disagree, I think this hand is playable in PLO high only. I don't think I would play it out of position, but I would see a flop to it for sure. Never in 8 or better though, this hand almost never scoops.

Re:PLO8/b low stakes cash game... I play this hand well?
Oh my god... Mistakes 1)Hand is borderline unplayable preflop 2)Playing marginal hands out of position in omaha is terrible to an extent I can't even begin to describe... vs. a raise no less. 3)Flop is absolutely no good for your hand* 4)You can only beat a bluff on the river *If you are unsure why playing a naked top/bottom 2 pair on the flop is huge long term -EV in omaha, spend some serious time stupdying flop games.

Re:Good Check Raise All-In?? Should I have done anything different??
I don't think there's anything wrong with raising preflop, as long as you aren't raising this hand frequently from bad position. Both checking and betting the flop have their bonuses, although neither seems substantial. Checking with the intention to raise is definitely a bit spewey, especially vs. a bet AND a caller behind. With this sort of flop they both are basically screaming that they have very big hands or at the very least a hand that dominates yours(I.E. bigger flush draw). Calling is accpetable deep stacked vs. other deep stacks. Folding probably makes the most money ...

Re:I know I goofed this up..Any advice?
I agree with everyone else saying that making it 50bbs preflop is either absolutely terrible or the best play I've seen in months. If you figure to get a caller for that size raise than I applaud you. Having said that, I think betting at least 500 on the flop is in order, maybe even shoving. Anyone dumb enough to FLAT CALL a cold 50bb raise preflop is most likely also dumb enough to call the flop with any pair, maybe even KJ high or something. Keep in mind though, once you move up to higher limits vs. better players, no one is EVER calling this raise, they're either folding or ...

Re:Please Help Did i play this set right??????
I think you should raise this hand preflop to 1600 or so to try and take it down right there since your hand plays like shit out of position post flop unless you make a set. Having flopped the set I think checkraising is a mistake. I don't know what your opponent's limp range is here, but it appears you don't either. This board is loaded with draws and you absolutely cannot risk a free card. Checkraising that flop only gets action from draws and really bad players(which your opponent turned out to be, but that's beside the point). Your large bet to discourage drawing on the ...

That's why bankroll managment is stupid. I never play anything unless the buy-in is MINIMUM 1/3 my bankroll. Sure I've busted multiple 10k rolls, but it happends, ya know.
