Re:Ultimate Bet Cheating Scandal Statement Didnt report it at the time as it seemed so crazy and futile. however, i just realized that some of the hand histories might be on a different computer that my ex has so i'll being trying to find them and see if there is anything that can be done. i dont play on FT but do play stars and their support usually responds within an hour or less and if its really important, they are much quicker. also, go NAT. i remember him being instrumental in this thing from the beginning and now it sounds like some people are getting some pretty substantial amounts of money returned. Re:Ultimate Bet Cheating Scandal Statement I personally dont believe this only affected the nosebleed games as i had an experience playing on ub about a year and a half- two years ago that made me stop playing there. at the time i was much more into limit, primarily heads up and played lots of 5-10 and some 10-20. i played a player whose name is not on that list who played much like the others mentioned. no need to go into detail and beat a dead horse about specific hands only to say that after his play, i railed him for several more days and saw him make the same curious plays against many (probably 20-30) players, cleaning them all ... Re:How many other people are just like me? i wont say i dont mix up the games because i def do but still play within br requirements now. ill mix in some heads up 50 nl and plo on occasion just to keep from burning out but i have studied those a bit too so i dont feel like im giving up any real edge by playing them instead of my normal game (6 max) if you can call it that. Re:How many other people are just like me? I used to do alot of these things and had many runs where i would take like 4-500 and turn it into 4-5000 only to lose most of it back tilting or chasing losses or playing in a bunch of big tourneys. everytime i did i would say to myself next time i will be disciplined and do things differently and inevitably i never did until now. about 3 months ago i deposited 500, played within my br from 25 nl all the way up to 1-2 nl never playing out of my br, if i took some losses or needed to cash out some i simply moved back down until i could rebuild. right now im at 50 nl with about 40 buyins and ... Re(3): Your worst beating? (spin off thread) wow some seriously crazy kid stories here. i had a few run-ins with my first step-dad until my real dad threatened to kill him and they stopped. so my first and only truly bad beating came when i was about 22-23. i was at a party and some crips walked up and hit my friend in the head with a bottle for no reason, i ran up to try and diffuse the situation and was promptly beaten down with a baseball bat and a forty bottle. hospital shortly after that. not fun. Re(3): Who is Fidel Castro? An old professor of mine forwarded an email to a few of us the other day and his comment was, I want this to be a joke but it's not. A girl from his class sent him an email saying she was confused and i quote "do we live in the United States or Europe'". im not sure how she was even able to turn her computer on. Re(3): Nike documentary on CNBC at 10et Nike used to have a website you could go to where you could customize your own shoes. he went through the whole process of creating an elaborate pair of shoes and at the end his last request was that they embroider the name of the ten year old that made the shoe on the back of them. he did not get his shoes! Re(7): Kanye West Grammy performance.....Incredible LOL at Kanye being a racist. the guy may or may not be a douchebag in person but he's far from racist against white people. his touring dj (a-trak) is white and they have a pretty close relationship and he works with daft punk who are about as white as you can get. i think itquick is right on with his response. Re(5): where music is heading IMO its happening to all genres, not just hiphop. music blogs and youtube videos are just as capable of breaking artists now as big record companies. as much as i f'ing despise souljah boy, it was buzz from a youtube video that basically turned him into an overnight success, and I'm sure the kid is a millionaire now from that one sorry song. discovering the right blogs and checking their links to others has given me more music that i enjoy this past year than i have gotten the previous 5, and thats across all types. also in case people havent noticed, electronic music, hiphop, and indie rock ... Re(3): where music is heading the record industry as we've known it for the last 20 years is dead now. im sure they'll figure out a way to stay relevant but it wont be anything like the current form. i like the fact that artists are starting to take charge of their own careers and are producing their own albums from the actual music to the distribution because now we get to hear their art like they intended it to be heard. not to mention if you can manage to sell 40 or 50k of your own records you will make a ton more than if you sold 500,000 records through traditional means. for all the old hiphop heads here that ... Re(2): Music heads, who would you recommend to see live? Id have to agree with the Roots being one of the best live acts ive ever seen. most of the time when i see hiphop live it doesnt live up to the cd because either the performer doesnt have much charisma or just doesnt know how to put a real live show together but the two times ive seen the Roots i liked their live set better than any of their recorded music. hiphop: the Roots live pa: daft punk MSTRKRFT deejays: kid koala (hands down) dj craze rock/indie: fugazi !!! Re(4): Sean Taylor's Killers' Myspace Accounts I respect your opinion but im not saying there are jobs but they are just too far to ride a bike to. what im saying is that there are NO jobs. the town used to be a big oil and industry town but they all left and now there are no jobs but still plenty of people. this isnt an isolated scenario. there are lots of towns like this all over the country now. when you dont have enough money to keep your electricity on or you live in a fucking regrigerator box as some of my kids did, there isnt money to pick up and move somewhere else. yes many of these kids would be fine if they were raised by ... Re(2): Sean Taylor's Killers' Myspace Accounts I taught school in a serious ghetto last year. there are not jobs in the ghetto. so the argument about getting a job just doesnt fly with me. 78 percent of the kids i taught were classified as living below the poverty line and some of them had very hard working parents but they were still poor as shit because there were no good jobs anywhere near the area. and to use oprah, someone that has gotten where they are through a combination of talent, timing, and a shitload of luck, as a barometer for what all people should be able to do is insane. yes there are tons of exceptions but they call them ... Re(2): Sean Taylor's Killers' Myspace Accounts neeek is pretty on point here. this is a poverty issue, not a race issue. put anybody in the circumstances that these guys probably live in and they will likely have to do some unacceptable things to survive. spare me the 'why dont they just move out of the ghetto and get a job' bs because that is not realistic. what these particular guys did was horrible and they should be punished but stop using their language and their culture to validate your own latent racist beliefs.
