How many fights u been in?
I have been sucker punched 3 times in my life but was never knocked down, and each time I probably deserved it. First time as an 8 year old after repeatedly calling a kid coppertop and stuff while playing football. (I was just trying to get in his head and gain an edge on the field) Then *whack*....right in the jaw......that was it...then we continued playing. Second time at the lunch table in high school. I was about 5'8" 165lbs at the time, and my friend and kid at the lunch table was about 6'2" and 230 or so, and cross eyed...not a good combination.*shaking my head* I was looking at ...

Bad Beat Dealer Tips
Grats FastEddee! I'm sure the dealer was happy with that. Do you know if they pool tips together at Canterbury or if its just that dealer gets the $' If everyone is throwing the dealer a hundo, it would be hard to be "that guy" that threw them $50. Although I agree that $50 is plenty for a tip on $1900 bad beat.

I agree with you 100% Harrison. My only regret with P5's is that I didn't learn about it earlier on. When I started playing MTT's online I had no idea anything was tracked, and I thought the only way to win was to be ultra aggressive to get through a big field (which I had never really played before live). I also shipped a nice MTT early on (probably first 50 or so tourneys I played online I won an $11 tourney on Stars with 1672 people for $2800. I had no concept of br mgmt so I began playing $109 mtt's and $75 45 man s&g's. And I lost $500 in a cash game as soon as the tourney was over, ...

Tipping Dealers at High Rake Tables
The problem with waiting is that dealers rotate, so you might be tipping one person for someone elses labor. I wouldn't say tip for every pot you win, but I always do if it is a decent pot.

Yeah b.s. I was playing two rebuy tourneys, and one never allowed any rebuys from the start. The other froze after first break and they cancelled both. Such a joke!!

Don't know, but that's also two weeks in a row on saturdays the 100 seats to the 100k froze up after like two hands, and then hours later reset as a "50 seats" to 100k......meanwhile other tourneys worked fine......nothing is looking good here, I just asked for a cashout today by check, I will be happy to see it in 2 months. Worked smoothly during the day, I got 2nd out of 447 in the $3 + rebuy earlier, no freeze ups the whole tourney. And if AK held up against A6 I would have shipped it. But yes, Lock has been sucking lately.

Atl sorry wasn't trying to trash you but when I clicked on the "Minnesota Poker" thread I was expecting to see a question about the upcoming mspt or something....not something about how good you are gonna be. I just meant even if you have a really good year there are lots of other guys that have done that consistently year after year, so it's gonna take a lot to be the best. Good luck with that. You have your work cut out for you. There are some absolute beasts in our state. OhScissorMe, Soggyvag, JohnnyGstacks, babyshark33, and Jared Hubbard. Just to name a few of the online studs. This doesn't even begin to mention the live players like Everett Carlton, Matt Kirby, Erick Wright, "Fox" Wallace, Mike Scheider, Jason Senti, Todd Breyfogle, Kou Vang. The list goes on and on. I too would like to be mentioned with these guys, but by no means do I think I will be "the best" It's kind of like saying I will be the next wsop main event champ. According to your logic, ...

I have also heard Lock pros are not being paid. I have played a lot on there, but I am officially done with them now. I may try out ACR, but I'm really hoping we get some legit shit going here in the U.S. soon! I would also recommend staying away from Lock (revolution)

Last year the MSPT (Mid States Poker Tour) started using an "RFD" I think it's called' Where the deck of cards looks normal but has a chip in it, that way they can stream the final table live displaying hole cards. I do not believe any cheating is going on but at the same time, I have wondered if there could be some technology to allow someone to hack in to the system and cheat. Basically I think that the more technology increases, the potential for cheating increases. But I have no idea how to police this or what to do about it. I would say Ivey, but before it's all said and done, DJK123 Dan Kelly is the truth....what a start to his career.....and he is still young (23 I think') I was at the W.S.O.P two years ago when he shipped the 25k 6 max. He looked like he was about 16 years old. And he's good at every game.
