This is part of a little facebook thing that I was involved with. If you want to list your 25 things as well that would be great. Please comment or email. I would love to hear yours as well as get into an intelligent conversation with any who find anything that I have said Inspiring.
1. I do not own a television, Not cause Im poor but because I do not need or want one.
2. I converted to vegetarianism in 2009 to get more healthy, consequently I have notice my thoughts being much clearer these days.
3. I enjoy self development as a hobby, challenging myself and examining the world is habit.
4. I have played one event in the World Series of Poker every year since 2004 though never won a large sum of money.
5. Was born in Illinois and lived in 8 states throughout my life, most recently Colorado for eleven years and now Las Vegas Nevada for nearly 2 years.
6. I smoked and drank regularly for about 8 years after I was 21. Ive been smoke free for two years and will never smoke another cigarette. I still have a beer now and then socially but its no longer a hobby.
7. I really loved to dance in clubs for most of my 20s and rarely enter them these days, though im still passionate about all music.
8. Three Eleven has always been one of my favorite bands since 1995 mostly for their lyrical stylings and message.
9. Everyone should listen to these 3 songs at least 10 times a piece in their life and really truly understand what the artists were saying . Lenny Kravitz - Believe, John Lennon - Imagine, Matisyahu - King without a crown.
10. I do not believe in a man in the sky watching and judging us, I do however be we create our own lives through our own perception so the "man in the sky" is you. Swallow that and lets talk.
11. I never completed reading any book until the age of 24 but I have since read about four hundred. Non-Fiction more so that Fiction.
12. I believe that the US is overmedicated. In life as far as I can personally tell life is meant to be lived and not hidden by 1000s of perscriptions designed to make you feel a specific way. Life is about using your mind to decipher your way through whatever is happening to you.
13. Soda/Pop, coffee, energy drinks, sugary drinks etc are just chemicals put into cans designed to keep you purchasing them they provide no real value to your life. Save your money and your mind, put down the soda.
14. Movies, books and magazines create miss-imaginings of others. What I'm trying to say is before you know someone whether they be celebrity, sports star, musician, or the Head cheerleader at your school you will often create a picture your mind of them that is in no way the real person. Once you meet someone you realize they are full of multiplicities just like yourself. One day they are so intriguing and amazing, the next they confuse the hell out of you and even more they make you examine yourself. Relationships are about finding a balance , an ebb and flow of sharing and creating within each others lives.
15. Poker is 98% psychology and 2% having the proper cards to make the best hand.
16. I run my own business which pays all of my bills. I create small engraved tags for marking pieces of equipment for the Heating Air Conditioning, Mechanical and electrical systems of buildings. www.AlexandersSigns.com is my site though its just informational. I get business via personal contacts.
17. Music touches you on a mental level when you can tune into the real feeling of what an artist was attempting to portray. Thats why POP songs often die of fairly quickly because they were corporate tunes designed to bring in quick money and the songs dont have heart.
18. When you share yourself openly, honestly and love all people the world will always give you a favorable response because you are one with everything in this world. Be it another being, a tree or the animal in the forest.
19. Technology is a substitute for something our brains are all attempting to do constantly. We want to connect with all the knowledge of the world and connect with all other beings. The internet is a temporary substitute until we can expand our minds enough to interface all people and knowledge with only our brains.
20. Sometimes I get carried away and try to start deep conversations when nobody around me is really listening.
21. Solitude brings great knowledge, Community brings great power.
22. If there is something you want in life, Give it to someone else and it will come back to you 10 fold.
23. Finding a way to do exactly what you want each day and provide enough value to the rest of the world is the key to a passionate existence. Money will never purchase happiness it can only help us get to a point that allows us to stop and think what we really want.
24. Excercise, stretching, yoga and meditation are all just ways of calming your mind and focusing on the NOW.
25. Humor brings everything into focus, Love brings everything together and passion creates the world.
Glad I got a chance to post my 25 random things. Hope others can share too. Maybe I took it to seriously, what can I say. I enjoy examining the world through an experimental eye as well as a humorous one.
