Ipad arrived today, actually came from Amazon...only two weeks from completion of rake. I doubted lock, but do have to give them credit.

Well, they finally replied to me after ten days and two emails...I got a pretty quick response after I said I wasn't going to play their sight until I got a response...anyway, they said that the promotion was bigger than expected and that Ipads would be going out in one to two weeks at which point they would forward a tracking number...kind of sounds like "check is in the mail".

Just finished the rake June 18th...while obviously I wouldn't expect to have received mine by now, it is unfortunate that Lock support still hasn't responded to my initial email or my follow up email, even if only to acknowledge. Seems like Rizen is a good guy and doing all that he can, but I do hope Lock cleans up their customer service issues soon as it seems to be a decent sight barring that.

Need serious Ipad help for a tech noob
I am a tech noob, and need some help as I am going to get an Ipad2 from the Lock Poker promo. I work primarily in Microsoft word, and I hear you can convert documents through an application called pages. Can someone please tell me if it is practical to do word processing from an Ipad. And, if so, how do you convert word documents from a cd when I don't think Ipad had a CD. Or, should I just look to trade this Ipad for a netbook since I only need word processing, email, and net surfing. Please help!

If he has quads, he has quads...but this is live PLO and I've seen raises on this kind of board with as little as fours full, sixes full, and no doubt on nines full. Also, bet the turn and charge the live players who will call with their straight and flush draws on a paired board as well as the smaller full houses.

Help me replace the double or nothings
Deposited $500 in late September of 2010, ran good, and made Supernova in just the last three months playing PLO ranging from .10/.25 all the way to 2/4...lots of points and bonuses. Ran bad in December, withdrew my bankroll, and decided to start this year with $300 bankroll and grind back up starting at lowest limits and applying good bank roll mangement. Just making the 7500 points a month to maintain Supernova until I move up in stakes.

Tim...Games died after the law change, although they were great for three months. The PLO game went away, and playing live $2/$5 hold 'em with the same nine regs at the same slow pace gets boring. I still go occasionally, but it is more convenient to just play online.

Thanks Otang for the input(I was halfway kidding about nitting it up with 100 chips), although I do have a feel for push/fold and ICM and more so how to exploit the Moshman robots who make so many mistakes that it has become optimal to stay patient in double or nothings and cash. If you could be decent enough to reply in a semi-civil tone, I would like to learn SNGs, and while I will read Moshman's book so I can know how all the robots play, I think it is also important to play a lot of SNGS and would like some input on where a new SNG player should start in terms of games. Let's say ...

Help me replace the double or nothings
New to SNGS and only started playing $10.40 turbo double or nothings the last 5 days after reading they are going to be cancelled. Played 310 games...ROI 7.3%. Wish I had discovered these earlier. Need a similar game to replace double or nothings. The 50/50 may not be best as I usually nit it up and get to money with about 100 chips left. Am supernova, so points are important, and I can play 15 tables at a time...any suggestions'

semi-brag and need some help
Just finished 4th in the Stars VIP $30,000 freeroll for $1,350! Finishes a comeback from $16 on July 26, there is hope for everyone. Dolphin, After rereading your posts, it seems you might be on the production/editing side of the paper business, which I agree is a sinking ship and will probably see consolidation and more job loss. I guess my point is that there is always need for good content. If you can write well, there must be jobs whether newspaper, magazine, or more likely the internet.
