There is nothing wrong with the rooms at Excalibur. I have two different goups of friends I go to Vegas with, the cheap ones and the rich ones. I have stayed at the Excalibur twice with the cheap ones. The rooms are your standard Holiday Inn type room. You don't have to play there, but the poker room is fine, nothing special, but it is actually pretty big. They have a 1-2 NL game that is pretty profitable. It is also in a great spot...MGM is right across the corner and Mandalay is just a tram ride away. Overall, if you are looking to stay at a cheap decent place, it works. This is where ...

This pissed me off more than anything else today. I am in NYC on business and I was flipping through the channels and got to the OTB(Off Trak Betting) channel. They announed on the channel how you could put wagers in over the phone and that their internet wagering was coming soon. I went to the website and found it. How fcked up is that. Click your mouse...lose your house. Internet Wagering... Coming Soon... to NYCOTB!!!

UBTommy is a great guy. I had some problems about a year and a half ago and emailed him and posted here about my concerns and I received a call on my cell phone from him. He will listen to your pro's and con's about the site and did what I asked to continue playing there. -Chris

From what I rememeber, mine always took 3-4 business days. It was iritating, so then I changed and used the instacash feature at the site. The site picks up the extra charge.

If Firepay is a public company, I want to buy their stock
They are geniuses.....they realized there is going to be all of this panic withdrawing and they added a $10 fee and they know all of these people will pay it cause they want to get their money out. Damn they are smart :)

I played with him at a NL table for Ultimate Points the other night. There were a few of us in there and a drunk guy wanted to play him heads up for real money. ShipIt kept on saying no and finally agreed if the guy transfered him money cause he had no real money on UB, he had taken it all out. The guy agreed and sent him $11 and they were going to play a heads up sit and go. It was a weird situation. I am not implying that he is busto, I just thought it was weird he needed the guy to transfer him $11 to play a heads up match.

Clock for blinds
Does anyone have a free program that would countdown levels for a home poker game. I know they exist just not sure where to look. I would have a laptop near the game that would countdown each level and then let me reset it. Thanks to anyone that can help. Chris

Is this wrong?
I was playing a sng on Stars and we got down to 4 handed. I start raising 3 hands in a row and one player says "he is just stealing your blinds". I know it is pretty obvious what I was doing, but do you think what he said in inappropriate. Obviously much of the time when you are stealing you don't want a call, so by him doing this he is creating a better chance of people calling. Thanks for your thoughts Chris

Just as future reference in life. When you talk about how bad something is that someone is affiliated with, they are probably less likely to help you out. Instead of an all negative email about UB, why not tell the ambassadors the situation and see if they can help. When I worked in customer service for a software company, I was much less likely to try and help someone that started the call bashing our product. I usually ended up hanging up on them and then telling them there was a phone problem. Maybe that is why I am no longer in customer support. The people that were polite and seemed ...

Looking for an easy way into the Stars Million
Everytime I get 1200 FPP I play the 400 FPP rebuy. I have tried it 5 times and got the seat 3 times. It is pretty easy competition. They give 1 seat for every 13,000 FPP. Tonight there were 203 entrants and at the break there were only 130 left with 16 seats being given away. The bad part is that the blinds go up quickly, but if you can get a stack early...you just need to sit back, steal a few blinds and before you know it there's only 30 people left. Just thought I would pass it along. -Chris

I have had the worst run of bad beats lately and I almost folded AA on the bubble of a tournament. There were 2 raisers ahead of me and I thought, I can fold this, make the money and then play. I have had AA cracked by a lower pair 7 times this week to knock me out of a MTT or SNG. My thought process was one of them probably has a pair and will hit a set. I pushed all in and one folded and one called. i think it is time for a break when I start thinking this way. The beats have been so bad that I am assuming I will get beat.
