Re:How did Pokerstars get to be the number 1 site in the world and is this likely to change soon?
-Should note that Hachem wasn't really wearing the Pokerstars patches until after he won. He entered the '05 WSOPME out of pocket. But I would say that Pokerstars was defnitely my second choice when I went to make an online poker account. I went to Part Poker first before realising i couldn't open one. Stars is just known, period. If you ask a random person to name an online poker site, 90% will say Stars first (If they can name one). It's that simple, and people in general dont like change. So if the first site they think of is Stars and they dont do anything to seriously ...

Re:So what did KGB have on that last hand?
I figured i would look for a web site or post elsewhere to possibly show a popular thought on this and would say this is the best i found. _________________________________________________________________ Although Teddy KGB's hand is never revealed to the audience, the general consensus is that perhaps he was holding pocket Aces. This is evidenced by several things; 1. The way he is betting throughout the hand. 2. His dialogue when the Ace of Spades hits on the river. ("That Ace could not have helped you"). 3. The fact that he taunts Mike when the Ace appears on the river. ...

Re:$12 180 Strategy...
above is a pretty good layout of the strategy and math behind the 180's. It is loosely applied to $4.40 180 SNG's as far as the example goes but seems to hold true for all of them. It is, if nothing else, a good place to start. Hope it helps...

Re:Cantu or Batista--Best player to never have read a poker book
you know...between those two i would say cantu is a better live player where batista has proven he can massacre the online arena. But the current challenger of Durrr, Patrik Antonius, has claimed to have never read a book either, and i would put him ahead of them both.

Re:Petition to PokerStars and FTP: Universal break times at set time intervals.
The only problem there can be is the finishing of the hands business. You would have to pause all MTT hands and turn the chat off. Also, players in the hand would have 5 min. to fully analyze the hand and go over it, potentially pissing some people off. I think this would be the only thing that would stop them, because if they waited for all hands to finish, each break would be 10-15 min probably

It is very sad that they are not doing it live, tho, the reason for waiting is very clear(hype, publicity, ect.). I think Dennis Phillips will take it down. Rootin for Chino tho!

Re:If I want to win
I cant say that i would have played this hand any different than you. Your 'M' is around 10 here and the blinds are fast approaching, which would take out another chunk of your stack. You have to be looking to get your money in the middle and score to get a hold on the blind levels and the table to steal pots, which is how you score top three money. The risk is worth the reward. if you shut him down there with an allin on the flop instead of a 4k bet, you miss on 11K more chips. I think you played it right and got him to put his money in bad then took a beating.
