Vegas Trip: Looking to play 1 week in 4 poker rooms. If all you are making in an 8 hour shift is $200 you better find a better profession. You should be able to book 400 to 1000 per sitting with a 300 buy in. Change tables and hit and run. To play 1-2 in Las Vegas is asking for a variance downswing. You will make more money playing 2-5 in Bellagio Aria and Venetian with reasonable rakes. Tourists go to Mirage but they take out for a bad beat. I kill them at Bellagio and Venetian. Try to add PLO to your game mix for better results. However 25 or even 40 an hour are not worth me leaving home for in Florida. I average 600 to 1500 win rate when I ... Bodog leaves US market - now Bovada.lv I came home from a live casino the Isle in Pompano after winning 1 K in 5/10 to play the freeroll. Low and Behold I could log on today and lose 20 I had left in PLO and now cant log on. Downloaded the new Bavada software and it does not work. Called the phone and have been on hold for 1 hour. BODOG Rest in Peace. It was fun till the last few weeks when they axed our avatars. Now they axed our site. I was told this was coming at the tables live and they were right. Bodog Software up date.. BODOG IS NOW DONE. I logged in today and lost my last 20 playing PLO. Came back tonight to play the Football free roll and low and behold. No more Bodog and now some Latvian site I can't log in to. I told all the anonymous was to hide funds at the bitter end as I was told it would be around this date by live players. They were right and thank god all I had was a few hundred points left. I cashed out twice in the last two months ( Pat on Back) and knew the lack of names was to hide money and say they cant find it now with the new bavada or what ever it is called. Bodog Software up date.. Playing against the best for the last 6 years has been fun. Now we have some maniac hiding names of your players. THIS IS CHILDISH NONSENSE and it is not to deter the software tracking programs. Its to deter the DOJ that from what I heard will be closing them down this month. I guess its time to put the last of my poker money into a good MONEY LINE PARLAY. I enjoyed playing Nevertilt, Andysvanslke and all the rest. Now you have no idea if the player is good bad or a bot. Phil Hellmuth: 15K Entrants in 2012 WSOP Main Event The payoff is big but European players dont pay 30% in the European events. EURO ZONE so we will see more Eastern Europe players. How ever what Mr. Brenes told me at the ISLE last week he will play cash games and those like his brother Humberto that are sponsored will play for TV time but the real money is in Europe right now. Stronger Currency and freedom to play any site. A nice place in Marbella would be a great place to go right now to live with the Spanish currency problems. Phil Hellmuth: 15K Entrants in 2012 WSOP Main Event I believe this year was an abberation. We dont have enough places for the Online Grinders to keep making money like they did online. From what I have seen of the online players that came back to brick and mortar sites their bankrolls are getting depleted quicker than they expected and to make it back quick live is very difficult. Many went to Las Vegas this year as they had no where else to go. Unless they get a monster sites like tilt or stars running again with the big MTT prize pools there is not enough sources of revenue for the average young pro to make a living from to go and risk it ... Florida State Poker Championship: July 7 - August 1 :cool:Had the TheRiverHawk on my table today. He ended up chip leader on our table and a good aggro player with lots of min raises. He will be tough to beat in this event but I took down three bountys in the 1600 today and go in with a little under average stack. We had 122 runners today with more expected Saturday. We played to level 9 with 36 runners left so there should be at least 150 to 200 runners tomorrow to make this over a $250,000 Prize pool by Sunday. Florida State Poker Championship: July 7 - August 1 Any one playing tomorrow in the $1600 bounty. Look me up on table 33. Good luck all. If I final table this one then I will play the Million Guarantee. One at a time however. Or if I get 10 bounties I play the big one. Florida State Poker Championship: July 7 - August 1 I just cashed out at 16th for $3984 in event 5 the 550 buy in two day event with reentry. Only bought once so it was a nice score. Out of 634 runners it was like playing at the Venetian deep stack events. When we got down to 4 table they started using the shufflers so we got even more play in but the blinds went much quicker. Got knocked out when I shoved my small stack on the button with 10 7 suited clubs and pocket 2s called my all in. Two clubs flopped and had all sorts of straight draws and missed em all. PLO Game Las Vegas 5/5 or 5/10 Please advise me if you will be playing PLO in Las Vegas this June 10th forward. Looking for a good 5/5 or 5/10 PLO Hi uncapped game in Las Vegas. Venetian and Aria are my favorite rooms but I am new to PLO in Las Vegas but to well in South Florida at the Isle in Pompano. All the regulars in our bigger games are now in or on the way to Las Vegas so I am following the herd. Will be around every day except June 15th playing the Venetian Deep Stack PLO or ARIA. $2/5 PLO river spot I pot the flop. If the flush draws want to play make em pay. Or I check raise the flop to a known C better. On the turn with top boat I shove all I can in if the pot will hold all the chips and run it twice. If he has quads so be it but you still have one out the other J. 90% of the time the villain has a hand like AA 9 x suited. When you check the turn you have not established if your beat or not. A pot bet of 200 makes it a lot easier on the flop to then shove the turn when you make your boat. The fact that he did not re raise his set on the flop makes the quads un likely and more often ... Plo in FLA? ISLE AT POMPANO has a very juicy 5-5 game and you can straddle in two positions. Under the gun and button. Time rake so you can run it twice or three times if both are all in. The table tends to do a time rake for the full amount first pot per half hour or dealer that is more than 400. Saturday they ran a 5-10-25 mandatory button straddle game that was very lucrative for some. Over 70 K on the table with multiple 10 k stacks in play as a large live cash game station was playing. Help! Why can't i beat live 1/2? GoBilliards. Just some advice from Florida where we were stuck with 100 max buyins for years live. I win consitently live and find the best games are the 5/10 No Limit games. Looser players but big raises get respect or one on one heads up play. When the money at risk is higher 500 to 1500 than a 1/2 game full of 100 buyins you can isolate and play poker. In a 1/2 games what are you playing for. 1000 maybe 2000 on the table' 2/5 will get you 2 K to 5 K on the table in Florida. So 1/2 tend to be older players or light bank rolls. Palm Beach Kennel Club Circuit Event's Some of the top players in the US are in Florida. Including Mizrachis Harrison Gimble "Gilbler" is a regular at the Kennel Club. The MTT players are the same ones that play the three major poker rooms in South Florida and if there are SOFT players they will be from up north. The Palm Beach Kennel Club has loose aggressive cash players but has been hosting Satellites for the Main Event for years. I would say you will find the smaller events softer than the main events 1000 to 1500 but the cash games will be great too. I will be in all the 550s to 1500 events and the winner of the 1000 and ... Bodog Discussion ITT Agree. Higher buyins bigger guarantees. Bring back a 12 K Guarantee at 60+6 At 8 Pm Then you have a lower one after. Or a couple of 6 K s at 30 + 3 Run some sattys daily for them. VERY IMPORTANT I know there's a check/fold button, what I'm saying is that u can't click that button until someone bets, so u can't just check after the flop and click check/fold, u have to wait until someone bets. Nobody else has this.. maybe just me. Best $5- $10 No limit in South Florida Updates Well the $5/10 No limit game has now had almost three full months to test the new limits. The best games are now and have been at the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach. Tonight there were 4 main games and a must move table. The action is intense there and average pots are very big lately. $1000 plus on multi way hands The all in mentality is not gone yet so there are some really big pots and the games depend on whos there. Cash game QQ from late middle positon vs a Reraise I am still tormented. I think the right play to determine if I was ahead was to shove Pre flop. How ever three pros agreed with the consensus. Lay it down or see a flop and then decide. I walked with a nice profit and don't regret the decision. I still had back door flush draws but the min raise threw me off. I wil try and ask the villain later when I see him if he had me beat or not. Doubt he will tell though. The A Q off makes the most sense now and I was probably ahead pre flop but behind on the flop. Cash game QQ from late middle positon vs a Reraise Cash game Isle Florida. 5/10 Stacks both a little above 1000 Raises and Reraises are much higher in Florida than in most areas. Standard Raise is 55 to 90 for mid to late raisers vs 30 to 45 in Las Vegas , I was in late middle position. Might have been hijack or one before the hijack. My image is usually Tight Agressive but I had just won a 1300 pot with a Kh 9h on a shove on a A h 3 h 9 c board. Pot was 130 and the player on my right made it 50 to play. Mike Matasow Wins Florida State Poker Championship at the ISLE Many of the pros were given Free Entries according to an unnamed source who got his entry for free. I don't know if Grinder Chino and Grinders brother paid or even if Mike paid an entry but he did say it would be more lucrative for him to be playing cash than this tournament. Mike Matasow Wins Florida State Poker Championship at the ISLE Congratulations for Mike Matasow at the Isle for his $107,000 First Prize win. When I got there this afternoon the final table was in play. A total of 400 + participants created a huge Pay day for the Pro. Rumour has it that he got Pocket Qs 4 times in a row and they held up.
