Re:MTT, where am i going wrong? They have terrible tourneys too, at least Party. Hardly any tourneys going, small fields and crappy structure. Ongame is pretty nice though with some supersoft midsize-field rebuy tourneys. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:4-bet shove, FT $42k guaranteed I probably misread his raise, didn't really think that it was nearly 4x my open, I just saw that he still had 900k and a solid stack if he folded combined with 3-4 shortstacks at the table waiting to bust. As for the hand choice, what kinds of hands would you suggest' I think that Ax hands are better than 78s-JTs because the latter are more often "completely" dominated by TT+ while Ax will have 3 pure outs against the complete calling range (minus AA obv). In addition, holding an ace reduces the chance that villain has AA, AK, AQ which are often 3-bet-call-hands. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

4-bet shove, FT $42k guaranteed Hey guys! Long time since I've been active here, but recently renewed my PXF-membership and finally think mtts are fun again. Last night I FT'ed the $24+2 $42k guaranteed on Full Tilt and had a massive chip lead only to blow it and go out in 6th. The players were mostly bad and passive with a couple exeptions (latam and fummelegk). I had been extremely active stealing a LOT from three tables and in and probably had a loose image with the players paying attention. My game plan was at this point to sit tight and let a couple more players bust before applying pressure from my stack. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:turbo sngs on pokerroom No point playing turbos at pokerroom. Play the normal sngs, they are really great. They are a LOT quicker than regular sngs at stars or tilt, but a little slower than the turbos there. They are like semi-turbos. That said, beating the turbos at pokerroom should be easily done if you have a good push/fold strategy. Most opponents there don't. So they would be easily beatible, but like you said, huge variance. - Coke Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SNG Questions. And A horrific experience. ^^^^ This is very good advice! Do what Tight_hope did and you will be fine. It's perfectly logic as well. Statistics say that after losing that many, you can't lose the next one, so play one HUGE sng! Preferably with the whole rest of your bankroll. Good luck! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Absolutely Softest SNGs around If you can play at , I have found the low stakes sngs there to be clearly the softest after having played there, Full Tilt, Stars and PartyPoker (Party is maybe even softer, but the structure is absolutely horrible, so I'd go with pokerroom.) Don't think Pokerroom takes US players, but if you're non-US then pokerroom is SOOOO much softer than Stars! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Any poker in Macau?? Alright, I just left Macau, and here's my report on the poker scene there. The only place with real live Texas Hold'em was at the Grand Lisboa. A huge hotel/casino in one of the coolest buildings I have ever seen. The tower was shaped like a golden lotus flower and the bottom, a big ball inspired by faberge-eggs worked as a HUGE screen at night. Here, they offered 4 tables before 10PM and 8 tables after 8PM. When I was playing at night, 4-6 tables were active. Most of the tables played 10/20NL, and one or two was playing higher, either 25/50NL or 50/100NL. There were lots of regulars, not ... Re(2): Any poker in Macau?? I've tried searching Cardplayer, but can't seem to find the article. I've found hold'em games at the New Lisboa where they offered 20/40NL (Hong Kong Dollars), 50/100NL and 100/200NL which is a little high for me. Was hoping to find a 10/20NL somewhere. Please help me! :-) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Final 2 tables of nightly 100K...What would you do? If you shove here you are playing your hand 100% for the hand value in itself because I cannot see you having any fold equity here. You will probably get it in here against TEChr for your stack plus your stack plus inverses raise plus blinds and antes which makes the pot odds 154/355. Your AK has to run 43% against his reraising rainge here. inverse has a pretty wide opening range here IMO, so we can count on him not calling. He is probably just calling around 10% of his opening range. If he is calling then TEC is only calling KK+ I believe., so this scenatio is so rare we don't have to take ... 888.com/Pacific Poker Anybody play there' I just deposited some money to take part in a promotion. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about the site. I just played one sit'n'go and some jackpot limit and the sng was REALLY soft. The jackpot limit is a total rakehog, 50 cents per hand per player playing LHE 1/2!! Re(1): HUGE leak in my game...help appreciated. EVER folding (big) overpairs on low boards in small stakes MTT's would be a huge leak in your game. You can sometimes fold 77-99 og triple rag connecting flops, but never EVER fold JJ+. Expept of course in sick situations with at LEAST 2 allins ahead of you. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 25 NL folding AA I'd say his range here is AQ, KQ, QQ, JJ, QJ, A8, maybe 99 and TT also. you CRUSH this range! Snap call! Pretty sick to "assume mit's KK or QQ". I bet you "assumed" this AFTER the hand when he showed QQ. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): My first final table in large MTT If the table was aggressive and you didn't wanna be pushed off your hand, this is another argument for not limping. Any raise commits you, so you literally can't be pushed off your hand if you come in for a raise. That said, any raise you come in should be allin unless smaller raises from small stacks have gotten more respect. In addition, when you actually do get to see a flop and are lucky enough to hit your hand, DO NOT JUST PUSH ALLIN! By pushing allin you will only get called by better hands (like what happened) and you will lose value againt all hands that have you beat. When you hit ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Biggest online cashgame pot? Hey all. Just had a little argument with my friend where he told me that the biggest online cashgame pot ever played was lost by Norwegian player Johnny Lodden (bad_ip). The pot was $470k. I have confirmed that it was in fact the biggest cashgame pot ever when it went down, and my friend says it still is. I would think that bigger pots have taken place later. Anybody know' And if you do know, what is the biggest online pot played today' -Cokeaholic Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 50r is this a shove for sure??? The 4x open from the button who has a very large stack makes me more hesitant to shove. Against a normal 3x-raise this would be a lot easier because you would be denying him the odds to call with most of his range. After this 4x-raise, he will have to call 4800 to win 8600 giving him nearly 2-1 odds. It seems to me like the raise is designed so that he will be committed to call you but can fold if the big stack in the big blind reraises him. This leads me to believe you will almost certainly get a call from the button when you shove here, so the question is do you want to get all your chips ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Turbo SNG Schedule on stars-Overhaul needed I very much agree with this. I just had a talk with my friend (only friend it sounds like, oh I am such a sad sad person) about this the other day and find it's really silly that the rake % increases as the possible edge decreases as you move up levels. This excact thing has kept me stuck at the 15+1s. I'm sure there are lots of players like me who would easily go up a level or two if the rake % was the same or, better yet, decreasing. Say I play 100 15+1s a month, this is $100 rake. If the rake were as suggested above (or better yet, 15+1, 25+1.5, 35+2) I would play higher levels and DOUBLE ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
