Received check on 9/30 and deposited successfully on 10/3. From all of the different posts I've seen, it looks like 15 weeks is the average. Good luck everyone.

First, it was really nice meeting you in Aruba. Second, I would highly recommend taking the job and getting some real world job experience. This will also take off some of the pressure from poker and having this as your primary income. You can still play poker a couple nights a week and weekends. Whatever you decide, good luck with everything!

No chip dump here. goodtrysucka is a very solid player with no need to chip dump. He just knows when he's beat and still had very respectable chip stack after hand.

The tourney will be at the Radisson and UB has reserved the entire hotel. I would highly recommend staying there since it's only $199 a night. If you won a seat, UB will send you the code to get a room. My 2nd choice would be the Hyatt (10-15 min walk to Radisson) and third choice would be the Marriott (20-25 min walk to Radisson). The web site for the event is . On Saturday, 9/27, they have an opening reception, and the closing reception is on Saturday, 10/4. They are both pretty good, but definitely not required. Play begins on Monday or Tuesday ... I don't have my start day ...

When I'm not closing MTTs well, I like to play some 6 player and heads up SNGs. It's definitely not the same thing, but it helps getting some play on a short table. Good luck!

Wrigley Field Parking - One block south of Wrigley, there is a an indoor lot that's used mostly by sky box people. It's on Eddy, just east of Racine. I believe they charge $20 but it's the best/closest parking you will find. Most of the other close lots, you can get boxed in. The only down side is that you have to get your car from the lot within two hours of the end of the game. Gurnee shopping - DON'T DO IT!!! Go about 10-12 north of Gurnee on 94 and take the 165 / Lakeview Parkway exit to hit the premium outlets in Kenosha. It's outdoors and your wife will enjoy it a ...

Re:Update on Guarantee changes on UB + some good news!
I have always favored the UB tourney blind structure over other sites. With the extra blind level and larger starting chip stack, there will be even more play. These are very nice changes! I'm not surprised that a few of the guarantees were reduced. I really wish the 50r would go back to a 30r with a 15k guarantee. Overall, no big surprises, and I really like the tourney changes. Thanks Annie for keeping the P5s community involved.

If you go to and select tee time specials, you can get a decent deal on a few courses in Nevada. I really liked two courses in Henderson (15-20 min from strip) called The Revere - Lexington and The Revere = Concord. Also, Badlands Golf Club was pretty good. If I remeber right, Badlands is about 15 min from strip as well.
