What is the real value of gold? I won a decent bet at one point on how many people incorrectly thought a wheelbarrow was a wheel barrel. I think the other person thought 6 out of 10 people would go barrel and I took the under. We got to pick 5 people each to call. My group was 5 for 5 getting it correct and I think I picked up 2 or 3 more out of the other group of 5 for an easy win. Wheelbarrow. Posted in: Off Topic |

friends disturbing experience from WSOP Day 3... This is standard table balancing. They always take the big blind and do it from a nearby table to keep the shorthanded table from having to wait a long time on someone coming from a table far away. There is no chance that Savage would allow any preferential treatment even if someone tried to give it to him. The floorman that picked him up from the table knew what table he was going to get someone from before he came over and had no idea it would be Matt that would be the next big blind. Re:"Most Americans Oppose Internet Gambling" Article... Polls like this almost always come down to how the question is asked and the context. Getting the results you want depends on how you ask the question. The sample size and even random demographic are generally fine, but I expect the way the poll was presented was not on what I would consider fair footing. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:5/10 NLHE in Las Vegas Max buy at Bellagio 5/10NL is $1,500. Aria is still working out what their cap will be. I played there a couple times right after they opened and the first night the cap was $3,000 and the next night the cap was $1,500. I really liked the atmosphere at Aria and I know the guy that runs the room there and he is the type of person I like to do business with. Check out Aria first and if that doesn't work for you then hop on the tram and you are in the Bellagio poker room in just a few minutes. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PCA Basketball I won't be there this year or I would definitely be in. If you know Marty from PokerListings let him know you are playing and he will come out. Jason Mercier will likely be game too. We have been finding courts and playing every trip we have been on for the last 6 months or so. Next big tourney in Vegas I'll make sure to let you know when we are planning to play. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:PCA Coverage P5sLive won't be covering PCA this year. As far as other coverage, the PokerStars blog will likely have the largest staff on hand and as such should have the most coverage. Then hit PokerNews and I would also suggest checking out PokerListings for their live coverage. Other than that it is pretty hit and miss on who will be covering the tourney. Hanns·G HH-281HPB Black 28" 3ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 DC 15000:1(800:1) Built in Speakers Seems like a good deal at $300 with no extra for shipping. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Top 10 poker players ESPN (Feldman) polled people in the poker industry and made the list based off of that. I was invited to be send in my top 10 list which I did. The guidelines were this. Best 10 poker players right now. That is it. Define right now - up to the poller. Define poker player - up to the poller. Putting a list together wasn't easy, and doing it without any sort of list to go off of makes it even harder, but it was a fun exercise balancing tourney and cash, NLHE and mixed, game selection vs. taking on anyone, etc... To those that say this list is laughable, you may be right. But at least ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
