Re:My dealings with the devil (absolute poker)
I dont usually play cash but since the changover ive had a dabble and havent had a losing session yet. Also,,some of the bigger tourneys have huge overlays still cos they cant get enough runners. Last week the 100k had a 30k overlay. If your thinking ofself imposing a 6 month ban on stars/tilt, nws the time to get some cashy into AP/UB.

In no particular order: The "nh" by another player and the "ty" from the donkey is horrible. "ty" after no "nh" from yourself. "bam" "donk" "lol" "weeeeee" "ship" "bink" "sorry" "he was asking for that" "about fckin time" "you shove 5 times in a row obv i'm calling with atc" (after calling off half his stack wi th 95.off.) Re:Roothlus can spell POKER
I'm by no means a fan of Hellmuth but Dwan made a complete ass of himself after that heads up match. Maybe thats why Hellmuth doesnt pay a lot of respect to the top online players after one of them acts like that after making a horrible play and getting lucky. Maybe its the "head up my own azz" attitude of SOME of the top onliners that stops them getting the respect that their abilty merits.

Re:folded QQ preflop here - bad?
yes, it looks like an easy fold but without working out the math take a look at the stacks that are in the pot. Can you shove and still make a profit on the hand' If I remember right you have everyone in the hand covered by 9k ish, you could take a pretty big side pot and still profit on the hand and also, theres always the chance that a couple of these guys have AK. reducing their outs. Worst case scenario is that you lose to the guy that has 20k and still have 9-10 x bb's. It may look a little sick but I think I'd be shoving this here.

What is the norm regarding disconnections at Ft's?
Hi all, like all of us have I've been disconnected like a million times while playing online but a scenario came up recently and I dont know where I stand and would appreciate some advice. Playing a $30+3 rebuy recently I made the Final table and lost my connection and couldnt take my seat, the sites message said I was disconnected etc and that It was trying to reconnect me. However I was running my browser and MSN at the same time and both were ok. By the time I had got reconnected again I had lost around 30% of my stack and ended up short and busting a dissapointing 9th. I have ...

Re:SNG 3 handed
the ICM calculations say call it. Aside from that lets look at your play. you make it 500, if this guy is as aggressive as you say then he may view this 2.5x raise as weak and shove. the bet looks like you want to raise with a marginal hand and youre leaving yourself enough chips back to get away from the hand if shoved on. your raise here has invited a counterplay by your opponent, I try to avoid this at all costs. you may think that you have a little too much to open shove but this stops your opponents from countering your play. having played 1000's of sngs I want to dictate what ...

the price is right to make the call, and you dont have enough to fold to be honest, especially in a turbo.

Re:completely clueless here
hi, i think the reraise is too big too start with, 1800 is ok, the fold is good one because, yes you're flipping at best. with your stack, if i decided to play the 77 a call is prolly best here IMO. But,,, If the table had been pretty active i'd have folded the 77 preflop. Look at yur stack in relation to the blinds 5864 at 100/200 there's no need to get involved with 77 at this point IMO. hope this helps.

Re:QQ on sng Bubble
dinkum is active cos he's pwning the bubble..the min reraise is either a monster or an average hand that he dont want to commit to if hes shoved on. regardless, theres too much in there and not enough back to fold. 100% shove!!!

Re:Like WTF? Can you fold here? $55 1 table sng on Stars
HERES THE FACTORS I'D TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION. 1. These guys all have similar stacks, even if the shorty wins the hand here the other 2 guys are effectively out. Leaving you 3 handed (AND IN THE MONEY) still with the biggest stack. 2. Although these guys are shortstacked and probably 1 or 2 of them shoving light I hate 10,10 in a 4 way pot anyway. 3.You DONT need to make the call. 4. sngs are all about making the money as 3rd place is 100% ROI. I dont have an ICM calculator but I'm bet my house on the 10,10 being a -EV hand in this spot. Great post, wierd hand, but for me its a ...

Re:CEREUS testing underway!
Hi all, Here's my 10 cents worth. Firstly, I would like to agree that everyone has their own opinions (right or wrong) and are entitled to em. However, (and this is why I love this forum) why do a lot of players/people here feel that they need to make smart ass stupid comments' If you dont use UB/AP wtf are you commenting on this thread for' What has/hasnt on those 2 sites in the past is exactly that "past". Since I started playing for real money online I have had reservations, not just about UB/AP, but about all poker sites. I still jokingly say that online poker is ...

Re:SNG gridners question?
im with andre and stevie444, there doesnt need to be a background to some of the calls people make in sngs. and stevies point is spot on too,, the bigger buy ins on some sites have a collection of muppets when other sites at same buy ins have a very tough table.

Re:SNG gridners question?
what do i have to say' that this guy is justified in making the call with 4,8s' thebackground dont matter man you cant blow off 25% of your stack with 84,s ,,dont matter whats gone before,,this fuck head cant make this call,,i posted the HH to underline what people are saying in this thread that you have people playing what i regard as high stakes when they dont know what the fuck they are doing. Ok, people have the basics but most dont know the concept of how to play/win sngs. I, personally, play more sngs than anything else and make a nice chunk, but it pisses me off when people question ...

depends which site you're playing sng's,,i think it varies. stars must have to worst sng games on the net though. I expect a decent game at $78 sngs but the play is usually awful. Re:what would you do 2 from the $
you have around 10x bb, a shove here looks weak and may get a call by a big stack with Ax. Gets those chips in preflop. The limp only brings in the big blind guy too. 3 way pot with only 9x bb now with KK 2 from money is not a spot I'd like to be in. A shove preflop looks more like a desperation shove and may still get you action. Good luck man,,hope you still cashed.
