What separates a good MTT player from the great ones? (online) WHat makes them better is a stronger overall understanding of the game. It is not any one thing. Now if you were to point out specific players there may be one thing better with one than the other. But, in general the better players just have a stronger understanding of the game and how to win. For example, Stewart isnt a better driver than Danica Patrick because he is a better at left hand turns, or better with a certain thing, he has a stronger understanding of racing. Okay, so this is the first HH i have posted asking for comment I am really not a fan of how you played this hand at all. First of all I am not in love with the flat pre, but its excusable as long as your comfortable post flop, with your big stack and both villains have you covered. Okay so you decide to flat and you flop great for your hand. Now what should your plan be' Obviously I do not know the table dynamics but I am not sure a check/min-raise is the best play. z did open UTG so he may have something but then that thought changes some when he checks the flop. Yea Willis you were also one of my first students and I think we accomplished quite a bit in a couple of months between a few lessons and all the nonstop review we would do in V101 chat room between lessons. And fwiw I am probably not going to advise many lower limit players to 6bet light, especially in weaker fielded MTTs where most players are making a lot of mistakes.
