**Official** Week 17 NFL discussion thread I love the fact that Ryan would rather go without a QB at all than play Tebow. Sanchez has it all under control.....he's solid. And can't wait for the Bengals to play Houston - best matchup we could hope for. Houston couldn't beat KC today. Posted in: Off Topic |

Braves vs Cardinals wild card play-in game! Perfect explanation. / As soon as the infielder spreads his arms to out to indicate "I got it" he indicates he feels that he can make the play. If he's in a panic to get back to the ball, he does not make that "lay off" gesture. Easy. Posted in: Off Topic |

Braves vs Cardinals wild card play-in game! LOL - I didn't say that. And it does matter. Here is the rule. Read it. Slowly. "An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out." The ump saw that the infielder could have caught the ball with ordinary effort. For whatever reason, he turned away and didn't make the catch. We'll probably never know why for sure. Quit acting like a 3 year old, take the emotion out of it, and think about it. This isn't ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Braves vs Cardinals wild card play-in game! Possible as well. Yes, he could have caught it and the ump knew it, and therefore made the right call. Posted in: Off Topic |

Braves vs Cardinals wild card play-in game! By his reaction it looked like he heard the outfielder yelling him off, so he backed off. Either that or he heard or sawthe outfielder approaching (but not yelling) and backed off. He had that surprised "jump away". Always give way to someone coming forward rather than moving backward. Braves vs Cardinals wild card play-in game! After checking out the site that TMLMS13 posted, and reading the wording of the rule...... An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt) which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first, second and third bases are occupied, before two are out. .....it was the right call. That infielder could have caught the ball had he not given way to the outfielder at the last second. Not sure why all the fuss. To me it looked like the ump was waiting to see if "ordinary effort" would have resulted in the catch. Once he ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Anyone in the Naples, Florida area? I vacationed there last year - really nice area and you can tell there's some old money there. But it is an older retiree area, and it certainly caters to the older crowd. If you like cars, the auto mall in town has all the pricey shops lined up - Bentley, Porsche, Mazarati (sp'), etc. - check it out. Some really nice cars. There is some pretty fancy shopping downtown. There is a "Tin City" which is a market area right on the water with good seafood places. Other than that, the main Naples pier is pretty cool - walk way out on the pier over the ocean. Have fun! ***Official Breaking Bad season 5 discussion*** Trying to figure out the connection here - can someone help' In the front of Gale's lab notes, he has written the inscription "To W.W......" In Season 3 Ep. 6 Walt meets Gale for the first time. Gale talks about a Walt Whitman poem, and the scene shifts to Walt at home reading the Leaves of Grass book. So did Gale give this book to him' When' And how did the same inscription get into that copy of Walt's book' Posted in: Off Topic |
