please, harrah's is only considering the bottom line when they make tourney decisions (which is not necessarily a horrible thing). they might listen to the players but only to a small extent and not at the expense of driving out players. even if every "poker superstar" wanted a 15K main event its staying at 10k for quite a few years because it fills alot of rooms for a week. the schedule reflects what they think is good for business not what poker players think. the things to consider are : 1. the higher end of the poker market has collapsed while the lower end has done pretty ...

you guys miss the point. they are not doing this out of the goodness of their heart for UK players they are doing it to try and gain ground there. nothing more nothing less. so to ask stars for extra vip points just for the hell of it is like asking for a free 50 bucks for the hell of it. obviously maybe they will have a promotion at some point. but this petition is the equivalent of asking for free monies which is lame. i love pokerstars by the way. just saying its a business.

maybe you should have petition for stars to send you 1 million dollars or free breakfast. id cosign. you idiots don't understand markets. stars has alot of competition in the UK. hence, they need to run a promotion to try and draw players. US = only competition is full tilt. hence, no promotion. they are not just throwing the UK a bone because they like it better than the US. P5s dumbest collection of poster on the internets. im out.

ah they only care about getting decent ratings son. The main event gets really good ratings the rest not so much. they are not going to change what they are doing just because people write in. they tried the one hour hold em with no names, they tried the stud events did not get good ratings. main event good ratings. hence, more main event. also, i doubt ESPN really paid anything for the rights. Its usually a scenario where ESPN pays Harrah's x but Harrahs and a sponsor guarantee buy up a block of advertisiing equal to what they got it rights. either way though it is a good deal for ...

well the only thing ESPN should care about is ratings. say what you want the ESPN helps draw new players to the game so anyone who plays the WSOP should be thankful for that. i just cannot see there being much reason for me to watch an episode. you cannot really cram "good poker" the only good thing about the espn coverage will be seing moon and ivey and it really won't be good poker just an interesting storyline.

you people don't understand the only thing that gets decent ratings is the main event cause there is time to build a storyline. watching 9 random people with only a one hour episodee is worse than this. mcevoy is an old nit who sucks at poker that is basically fact, and what is sad about him is he thinks he is a pro and just thinks he has been unlucky for twenty years (ah maybe you suck) as for varkonyi i don't understand the hate. he said he is not a pro and as evidenced by mcevoy winning anyone can lucky in a sit and go especially one where there was not much on the line.

main event even the prelims get the best ratings by far. if you show any of the other holdem events you gonna get 8 random people and either one internet star or live star. hence it sucks even more than this especially cause of a one hour format. i guess they could just switch to all main event coveage.

if he does play he aint gonna talk about it. that being said i doubt he plays. some of the FTP pros used to play the big events on stars like the WCOOP main event. don't know if the do anymore. obviously if they play they keep it on the DL.

Hillarious Mike Matusow/Larry #$@#licker Story
So Matusow is seated with a guy listed as Larry Cuntlicker on the standing sheets for day2 of the WSOP. So Matusow says to him i bet you 5k your drivers license does not say Larry Cuntlicker on it. The ESPN cameras are called over and Cuntlicker reveals his drivers license and it reads "Lawrence Cuntlicker". Hence, Matusow wins the 5k bet.
