$165,000 tournament series central Ohio May11-20
Very very solid field from all over Ohio. They also did not meet the guarantee so they will be shelling out the extra bucks. I did not play. Too worn out to play well and not sure I could have even come close to competing in that field. Acanthopis, I will look for you today.

$165,000 tournament series central Ohio May11-20
Action has been decent. Every night at 7 they have a "Second Chance" tournament. It is a $50 satelite with 4 seats to the main event guaranteed. So far the 3 they have held have all had less than 35 players (need 40 for the guarantee to be covered).

Dealing in a Casino
I am hoping to secure a poker dealer position at the new casino. I am really not sure what will happen to the clubs. Lots of speculation out there right now about it. Everything from being raided to being ignored or even licensed. Who really knows.... only time will tell. I will make some inquiries about playing at Gemini and get back to you. Don't be too timid to try other clubs. I am pretty sure Platinum in Grove City and Lucky Dogs on S. High St and on S Hamiltion accept 18 and over players. Evergreen in Grove City may also accept 18+ players.

Dealing in a Casino
Chronkie, Nick's and Gemini are the two best clubs for action in Columbus. There are others though that may accept you and also may fit your level better. Have you tried to play at Gemini' I think Nick's is 21 and over but not sure about Gemini. I will ask tomorrow. LOL I know of a club that also has a .50/1.00 game too. I will probably play at both the clubs and the casinos when they open. The clubs offer a value you will not be able to touch in the casinos due to the rake. I am actually hoping to get a job at Hollywood.

Re:casino wont pay badbeat jackpot, what do you think?
In addition to reviewing the tape they also examine the cards very closely to make sure there were no markings. They probably also examine the tape to make sure there is not alot of soft play occuring between the two participants of the hands throughout their time at the table. I am not sure but I also think some casinos make take a management fee out of the jackpot before it is paid. This may vary from state to state and casino to casino.

Re:Live Casino Bad Beat Jackpots
Just need to come play in Ohio. We have gaming clubs that charge $25 daily fee to come in and play a variety of games including poker. There is no rake from the poker pots and you can join in the badbeat jackpot by paying $2 at the beginning of your play. Only bad thing is the BBJ is usually 5-10k. But big difference with no rake and only a daily fee.

BOKE, the one up in Cleveland hardly does any tournaments due to the traffic on the ring games. 8-10 tables on weekend nights. They only have 10 tables. The Berea location is crazy.

Re:Stars payout structure poll Fair or am I just a whiner?
gamble153, Totally agree with you. 1st should never ever get less than 10%. I am surprised you would ask why paying 15% or even 20% of the field is so popular on Pokerstars. It is because they want more money from the rake they will be getting from all of those people in the bottom half of the payout field. Those players many times don't even double their buy in and fee but they will sink it right back into another tourney. Pokerstars is not alone in paying more than 10% of the field any more either. Sad situation but it is all about the rake for them.

My buddy and I will be there late Monday or early Tuesday. He called and they told him they will not be turning anyone away and that he could register on Tuesday morning. We are not 100% sure this is accurate though. We are going to Majestic Star in Gary IN tomorrow to play in the HPT $1k event. FT is Monday. So driving down after the tournament ( or he gets knocked out I should say LOL ).

Re:Ruling at Wheeling Island Casino in WV
Sadly enough this has occurred before. You probably should at least lodge a complaint with the state agency that handles the casinos ( I believe it is the WV Lottery Commission). A friend was in the 2/5 game.... he and a regular get it all in after the flop. Friend tables AA after the money gets all in. Turn is Q I believe and river a blank. The regular in seat 10 says nice hand and throws his cards face down to the dealer. Player in seat 9 starts freaking out. Dealer grabs the cards and peels them up to peek at them and slides them back to the player in 10. As they have never touched the ...
