Sigh Warriors down 1
Is it just me or did the refs call a style of game all series long that was much more suited for the Jazz( not calling as many fouls and letting them push the warriors under the boards')

Bubble play on SNG
Thanks for the replies and everything you said makes perfect sense jennifear, thanks for the help. I used to play a ton of SNGs at a fairly high level , and am now very rusty on these types of situations after a long break from them. Also I couldnt really accurately define his raising range, or calling range, because I was 8 tabling, oh well

AQ against laggy opponent
If i check raise the turn a decent amount and he calls then i am probably going to make a value bet unless a king comes on the river. Then i would check and reevaluate once he bets( if he does). I would bet around half the pot and if Im raised I dont think i can call. He probably has two pair or better, which is unfortunate but given the way the hand has been played, is going to happen sometimes

Bubble play on SNG
Jennifear, is it that clear cut, even with the short stack that has half my stack' Do you have math to support it or just experience' I have been going back and forth whether I think this was a profitable play in regards to expectation, Im still not sure though ***And this is not a bad beat post. I dont make those.

whats your bet amount on the flop
I cant come up with any viable scenario in pokerstove where the hero is more than 50 percent to win this hand. he is usually between 40 and 46 percent depending on the hand ranges you assign. I previously said that his equity was 40 percent postflop but I dont think I had wide enough ranges as i didnt think too many people would be calling a 6x raise with kj. I guess I was wrong. I assigned much wider ranges to the players and the heros equity is still less than 50 percent

THe Power All in What to do
IMO your real mistake here was making a weak raise with a weak hand out of position. I think the biggest leaks in most players games in NLHE are playing weak hands out of position. This goes even if you are the bettor too. Too many players make marginal calls out of the blinds or weak raises with weak cards in early/ middle position. They see great players do this on TV and try to incorporate into their games. I can say this because it was the case with me for a lengthy time. When I started to realize just how important position is,my game got exponentially better. Now that said given the way ...

$30 FT hand
I would either shove or fold preflop. Given the way it is played It depends on the player. If this was a half way decent player this looks like a preflop trap with aa. I think any hand that he flat calls you with preflop(again if he is a good player) are ahead of you. I think he shoves ak or aq, shoves 88-qq and either shoves or flat calls with aa or kk preflop. I dont know how well I said it, but what I am trying to say is that a good player will have a better hand than 77 in this spot

This is a flat call right? 99 on button - 14k Guarantee
shoving here is def -EV just because there is not enough in the pot to justify shoving. Flat calling, and raising to 7000 are both viable options. If he comes over the top you will have to call 10k into a 25k pot giving you 2.5 to one odds. If we give him a range of tt+, ak for a reshove, then it is barely a call, and you can still possibly fold, as the spot becomes really marginal

whats your bet amount on the flop
I know everybody has said to bet here. Personally I like to check in this spot and am perfectly fine with letting the hand go. This is a spot where you could easily have the best hand, but are not that far ahead. On the other hand some one could easily flopped a big draw or a set both of which are a favorite over you. Therefore i like a check and reevaluate if someone bets or if it is checked around and a blank falls on the turn. I think if it is checked around and a blank falls, it is pretty safe to say that you have the best hand given that the EP limper checks to you on the turn. With that ...

ANy Advice on how tplay this hand from UTG!!!
Very Easy fold preflop. You have 13 big blinds left and are not completely hopeless. And AT suited at a nine handed table utg is not a strong hand. Wait till you are in the small blind or buttin and push any two cards when it is folded to you.

1k Monday Bust Hand
I was watching this as it happened, and felt very confused. you have between 12-13 bb and have two very big stacks behind you (phatty and kush) who can afford to call with anything they feel is even barely +EV. Also you have to take into consideration your table image. IMO you had a pretty loose image at that point and therefore cant afford to make these types of plays. Plus q5 doesnot have very good showdown value when called. If you felt compelled to make this sort of move I think a hand like 10 9 suited would be much better as you would have two live cards very often. Overall this is just ...

Getting Deep In $10R
I dont mind your check onthe flop but Id prefer a 2/3 pot bet to take it down there. Played the way you did. I am raising either the flop or the turn because those bets just look so weak. Hes betting 12k into like a 35k pot. And then 24k into a 60k pot. Im raising there to get hands like 55-88 out of the pot and take it down.

Continuation bets later in a SNG
If I am in this spot I only bet if it is a really good flop that he most likely didnt hit. And if i bet I like t o leave myself with a stack big enough to have some fold equity if he raises me. So If I leave myself with at least 8 Big blinds, then i have an all in stack, but it certainly has some fold equity. Also, with only a fourteen BB stack and loose players in the blinds I dont like raising here with out a very good hand(like aq+,99+). That sounds ridiculously tight but, you just dont have a big enough stack to bluff loose players out of pots. I would wait for a premium hand and/or wait ...
