best online superstitions Ive heard from friends
1. If you bad mouth the site in the chat box about being rigged your name gets put on the shit list and the site proves you right by nailing you with every 2 outer imaginable. 2. If you have a pp and draw a blank on the flop you can bet your ass that number will flop the very next hand. 3.Using the avatar with the "mean emotion" on tilt wins more then the others.

wow(finally)
Playing on fulltilt for a few years now and day after day of horrible beat after horrible beat and constant losing no matter what I tried I finally gave up and uninstalled it and installed Absolute poker. I played on AP a couple of years ago but gave it up when all the scandal stuff was going on.Very first tournament I entered was the 20 dollar 2 thousand guaranteed and guess what. I won it. It's only 560 bucks but god damn does it feel good. Im just a moderate player but I study it alot. I then entered another one and final tabled it. Had a good stack but back to back 2 outer and 3 outer on ...

the difference between races and sucking out
You do realize that preflop AQ is a 62% favorite to win the hand over JK which is a 37% favorite to win. I didn't say its a horrible suckout but it's definitly a suckout.

the difference between races and sucking out
It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't see the difference between winning a race and sucking out. I was just playing heads up and had 2200 to the guys 800. He min raises and I put him all in and he calls. I have AQ and he has KJ and Im quite obviously the favorite to win but as usual he sucks out hitting the king. He has been berating me the whole time because I made a comeback earlier and got ahead of him on a good call where I had pocket 4's and he tried to bluff at the board with A 10 all the way. I tell him to stfu because plain and simple he got lucky to catch a king and that ...

room for debate: just HOW rigged is full tilt poker?
Let's say for arguments sake you are right and he has no clue about variance. He is still entitled to his opinion and it should be open for discussion because there are many people who agree with his opinion. To ban his comments because you are tired of hearing stuff like that is ridiculous. It's amazing some of the stupid posts that slide through here but yet when someone wants to talk about it being rigged then he is a useless piece of crap and his opinions have no validity.

room for debate: just HOW rigged is full tilt poker?
I don't understand why it's so hard for people to believe that it could be rigged. It is a computer program and there are a lot of smart programmers in the world that could easily rig stuff up like this. To insult a guy because he has the opinion that it's rigged is just ridiculous to me. I actually side with him but I don't think it's rigged against any one person, I think it's rigged to induce more action and it is bizarre how many times hands that are dominated end up winning. Just because your opinion differs from his doesn't mean his post should be deleted or banned. It's a perfectly ...

confusing but need an answer
6 left at final table of home game. Blinds are 1000/2000. First to act raises to 7000, 2nd to act goes allin for 11900. Folds around to big blind who wants to know if he calls the extra 9900 to cover the allin can the first to act then reraise when it comes back to him to make his decision. I say yes the first to act can reraise the minimum if the big blind calls the allin because the allin raise was more then half of the original 7000 bet. If the allin was say 10,400 then no the 7000 original bettor couldn't reaise if the big blind had called but since half of 7000 is 3500 which added ...

enough is enough
Ive been at this for several years now live and online and anyone that doesn't think fulltilt is rigged is just plain and simple full of shit. I played in maybe 10 to 15 tournaments today and got jj or better 12 times and lost everytime. Most of the time we were allin and the the smaller pp would trip up on the flop. Now if this was just a bad day or whatever then it would be fine but its all that ever happens everyday every tourn. for well over 1000 tournaments now. This is not an angry statement. The money loss isn't a good thing but its part of life. There is no way these cards are ...

Solutions to this problem
Id like thoughts on how to fix this. 437 tournaments of field sizes 46-180 I have +19 roi. 556 tournaments of field sizes 181 and more I have -53 roi. This is obviously way to much of a disparity and something Im trying to fix. Please no smartass answers like commit suicide or stop playing 181 and higher fields. Ive played awhile now and have read alot on the subject but obviously Im doing something way wrong when the field size gets bigger.

rake back on cake
After another day of losing to miracle after miracle yet again on wonderful fulltilt(might as well call that game texas flushem) I have decided to try a new site. I know it probably wont make a difference but as long as Im going to continue to get boned day in and day out I might as well qualify for rakeback. Ive been on fulltilt a long time and don't qualify for rakeback. I want to know if Cake poker has rakeback and if so How do I set up my account to make sure I get it'

Re:Young vs Old competition interest.
Take the volume factor out and have each person on the team choose a predesignated list of the 50 tournaments they want to count for the week. If you have like 5 on a team that would be 250 tournaments for the week that they could get points for final table finishes. Do this for a month and each team would have 1000 tournaments with which to get points. Plus they can choose the 50 tournaments they think they have the best chance of doing good in. Not everyone has to play in the same 50 tournaments. I think final table finishes at tournaments with alot of entrants or higher buy ins should be ...

Re:People over 30
I think we should have another contest of the age groups. Have it be like a month long and have 2 teams. 1 consisting of ages 31 and over and the other 30 and younger. Seeing as how most younger people have more free time to put in massive hours I think we should try to make it more poker skills oriented instead of volume oriented. Something like 2 teams of 10 and every monday morning have each individual submit the 50 tournaments that week that they want to count towards the contest. Then assess point values for any 1rst through 9th place finish. Make 1rst-9th place finishes worth a little ...

Re:People over 30
I agree with you that volume doesnt always equal a higher skill level. I equate it to fishing on a lake. A guy that has 15 lines in the water obvioulsy has a better chance of catching a fish then a guy who only has 2 lines in the water. However, the guy with 15 lines in had to pay extra for all that gear and put in more time to get it ready and out into the lake then the guy with 2 lines but that doesnt mean the guy with 15 lines in is a better fisherman or will catch more then the guy with 2 lines in. I agree with what people have said in this thread about older people having more ...

Pretty interesting stories. Several of you have said you are still playing on your original deposit and that blows my mind. Hell Im not even on my original deposit for the month of November. People over 30 (contest idea on page 7)
After reading many articles, tournament updates and rankings on this site and seeing young person after young person featured with their multiple wins, it got me wondering does anyone 30 or over have any success in online poker' I'd like to hear some stories from people 30 and over that are overall winners in online poker. What levels do you play and how much per week do you play' Please don't list the obvious like Lederer,Fergueson,Helmuth or other older pros. The only one I ever recall seeing a story about on this site was Gator something or other. I think his name is Frank. Is ...

Re:right or wrong?
Im just curious what the general consensus is. I personally have just played regular during those situations. If I have a hand I play it and I fold if I don't. If it was a longer period of time the disconnected person would blind out anyway so I play on as normal.

right or wrong?
Final 4 at $20 9 man single. I am shortstack with 1575 left and get disconnected. Not normal so I wait a minute to see if it will reconnect. Nothing happening so I start messing with the cords. I walk over to disconnect cable from wall and when its almost off I hear the sound effects from fulltilt and the 3 left are autofolding trying to blind me out. I finish screwing the cable back on all the way and get to my copmuter and see that in the few minutes I was gone they have blinded me down to like 500 chips. Not mad about it just curious if others think this is right or wrong to do considering ...

Re:FTP 90 Man KO SNG Advice
You played 6 of these and finished 31rst or better everytime and you only had 1 ko. Pretty obvious you are not being aggressive enough and you are eventually just blinding out or have to call because you don't have enough chips left to do anything. Be more aggressive and knock people out instead of waiting for everyone else to do the damage. If you knockout 6 people in one of these then you are free rolling after that.

Re:the comfort zone
I just do this for fun so I pretty much play whatever whenever and I`m trying to stop that and make this profitable for me. I want to maximize my profits so I don't want to play to low moneywise. Id like to see my stats for 50 dollar single tables on fulltilt because I think I could turn a decent profit on those if I just concentrate on playing those only and would like too see what Ive done to this point so I know if that's my comfort zone or to high of a buyin level.

the comfort zone
Instead of just playing anything whenever, I want to try some grinding at 1 level of play and see how I do. I think my comfort zone is 50dollar single table sitngos on full tilt. Would anyone be willing to message me my stats for just that table amount so I can see where I'm at as of now. Player name is flop25.Thx in advance if anyone chooses to send me that info.

nobody to talk to so Im ventilating on here
Fulltilt 24 nl cash game . Within 5 minutes I had KK lose to AK 3 outter ace hit on the river(1000 pot). Then 2 hands later AA loses to 99 2 outter 9 hit on the river(200 pot) then 3 hands later KK loses to A 10 3 outter hit on the river(350 pot). Lost 1500 in less then 5 minutes playing KK AA then KK and dominating all 3 times. 2 of the hands the money was allin preflop from raises and reraises. WTF else can I do' and how can that even be possible. I always run bad anyways on races on these sites but thats just ridiculous. Just discouraging.

Re:question about chipdumping
This was a 9 seater. The villain put all his chips in on a draw and of course hit the river and later on in the tournie when I was bigstack i tried to knockout a shortsack who went all in and I called with 55. Shortstack had 99 and this caused the villan to start the shittalking about my play and so i started giving it back to him about his. So when we got down to the final 3 the other guy started protecting the villain and dumping his small blind to him. I just wonder if this is considered chipdumping.
