Do birthdays matter after 40?
If they do, then happy 40+ to Braaak. Granted, his birthday was yesterday but at that age a day late isn't too bad.

Sheets - Please don't be shy with your (our) picks for the remaining bowl games, playoff games, etc. My 9 yr. old learned some positive words watching football with me for a change, so ty for that as well.

Ty Sheets. Left to my own devices I certainly would not be 4 wins/1 push so far today.

Re(1): Tough spot 11 left PL/8
As one of the "not all that great" players left in this tourney (kidding, schmnex, but I get your point), I was very surprised to see you push without also having at least a decent low draw as well. Jonny was playing every hand regardless of his cards, and Sloth had just lost two pots to me which says something about his skill level. Although the blinds were quickly escalating, if it were me I would have folded. But nice comeback by you after that silly hand by Dallasite earlier on.

Re(3): How should I play this JJ midway in $20r?
Thanks for the thoughts. The raiser has been fairly tight, and has pretty good MTT results. The first caller was playing a lot of pots, and has OK MTT results. The second caller had not been playing a lot of pots, and had relatively poorer MTT results compared to the other callers.

How should I play this JJ midway in $20r?
My table image was pretty tight/nitty - I had 2x up once with QQ, and otherwise hadn't shown any hands. I'm about average chip stack with 170 left when this hand comes up... Re(3): Law question(Breach of contract?)
No worries pja. The question from pitch wasn't whether an employer has to be unemployment, but whether he has a claim against his employer. The law student's promissory estoppel theory is his best shot, but it's not a winner and in my experience will only result in pitch wasting a lot of time and money to get nothing.

Re(1): Law question(Breach of contract?)
Pitch, I am an actual NJ lawyer, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you really don't have a claim. NJ (like a lot of other states) is an employment "at will" state, which means that unless either (a) you have an actual employment agreement which defines the circumstances under which you can/can't be fired (such as "cause" or "misconduct"), or (b) you are the victim of actual discrimination (and being too junior for a position isn't discrimination), then an employer can fire you for good cause, bad cause, or even no cause. Sorry to hear about your getting screwed. DAK1616

Re(1): So I worked at a Jewish sleepaway camp instead of going to the WSOP
This J00 spent 9 years at just such a sleepaway camp. From experience, the shtuping is available but not very worthwhile. But on the plus night, Friday night dinner usually was pretty solid.

Do I make this call at a FT?
Final table of the FT $50/50k. Hadn't played many hands with the raiser. I had become card dead at the FT and was down about 50k since the FT started. Based on pokerdb, it was a pretty strong final table so realistically I didn't expect to be able to outplay everyone (even though I read PD religiously). Do I have to make this call' Results will follow. Thanks. Re(4): Withdrawal from Neteller
It's not Neteller's choice right now -- the Gov't has frozen all of Neteller's cash as part of the criminal case. That's pretty standard in a case like this as the Gov't tries to figure out which cash belongs to the alleged bad guys and which cash belongs to the people (here, us consumers) who are not being charged with any crime. It may take at least another 6-12 months, but eventually the Gov't will have to release the money to which it has no claim.
