breaking bad season 4 discussion ITT. Can't believe it took this long for someone to mention this, and it's why I think it was Walt (or at least am inclined to). Walt could have jacked the cigarette and replaced it with a fake as soon as he came to the realization Jesse wasn't gonna do the damn thing, and that could have been what, several BB days ago' Posted in: Off Topic |

NFL vrs CFB NFL and it's not close....bigger, better, stronger, faster athletes playing the game at a much higher level with infinitely better coaching and quarterback play the worst thing about college football is the notion of winning without good quarterback play; it's just our athletes vs your athletes (for the most part)....take Mack Brown and his staff for example. Other than than a few games, all they have to do is show up and they win. Same for Ohio St---Tressel didn't have to do anything but make sure his team knew where the stadium was. In the NFL, every team has 53 NFL players. The margin ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Documentaries worth watching? It's the highest rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes, but you're right...it is overrated. I thought it was a great watch and pretty fascinating, but not mind-blowing. Surprised that I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Earthlings, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, is one of the most gut-wrenching things I've ever seen. Took me four or five tries to make it through. Horrifying, mortifying, depressing....but you need to watch. Posted in: Off Topic |

Official Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat NBA finals thread Mavs in 5 Best offensive player Better at 3 of 5 starting positions No one after Miami's big 3 cracks the Mavs roster Deeper bench Better PG Better coach Better FT shooting Seriously....Mike Miller, Joel Anthony, Mike Bibby, Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem....these are all players that get huge mins for Miami and none (with the possible exception of a healthy Haslem) would make the Mavs roster. ***Official Oklahoma City vs. Dallas Thread*** This is easily one of the most absurd and outrageous sports related posts I've ever read on P5's. First, even if it's Miami-Dallas, the most athletic team the Mavs will have played is Portland. As good as Lebron is defensively, Dirk has a 5" height advantage. Joel Anthony's defensive prowess around the glass is negated because the Mavs aren't a slashing team that scores a lot of points taking the ball to the basket. OKC presented problems for Dallas' offense because they have the speed to close out on shooters---Miami isn't as fast as OKC. All you're saying are the same things that people ... ***Official Oklahoma City vs. Dallas Thread*** As a Mavs fan, I like to believe I speak for all of us when I say that Chi poses much more of a problem for the Mavs than Miami does; biased (and believing it's just their year), I'd like the Mavs against both teams. Against Chicago, that's a tough six or seven game series. Against the Heat' Mavs in five. Posted in: Off Topic |

Game of Thrones, Episode 5 (Spoilers for this ep only) Was it just me or was anyone else (who read the books) thrown off by Loras Tyrell (Knight of Flowers) and Renly being lovers' Did I just forget this was part of the book or am I remembering correctly and this is new' Seems to me a way to get one of the cooler characters of the books (Tyrell) more involved. Either way, this is the first time through five episodes that there has been a storyline that's pretty far removed from the books. Posted in: Off Topic |

**Official Lakers/Mavs Game 3 thread** The Mavs didn't play well in the first two games---everyone forgets to talk about that!! They've shot poorly, haven't gotten the points from Marion and Kidd that they got in the series against Portland, and they've been out rebounded---and they've still won!!! Also, just because your bench has one good player doesn't mean your bench is good; the Mavs bench has a 6th man of the year as well. The Mavs bench also has more than one player who's worth a damn; LA's does not. Posted in: Off Topic |

**Official Lakers/Mavs Game 3 thread** lol @ all of you when you lose the first two games at home, the other team is just better than you consider: -The best player in this series is in a Maverick uniform -The Mavs have a (much) better and deeper bench -The Mavs play better defensively Also, the Lakers shitty bench has just been made worse by the fact that Artest is suspended and Shannon Brown is starting in his place. lol. *** OT Power Rankers Divisional Round Preview *** I know!! I mean, Clay Matthews had a huge impact the first time around, with exactly zero sacks!! Whatever will Atlanta do!!! Also, for the record, I'm loving Atlanta's depth at CB---Williams and Owens are both good in the nickel and dime, not to mention throwing a veteran like Erick Coleman in the secondary. Atlanta's run defense is among the best in the league---don't let Starks worry you. We've done well all season against teams that are one dimensional. This weekend will be no different. Not counting Seattle, other than the Bears, there's not a team in the NFC playoffs that Atlanta ... Posted in: Off Topic |

I know its still super early...superbowl predictions? What the hell am I supposed to do with that rational, reasonable response' Fuck man. Are you sure you're a Bears fan' For the record, it was '08, Ryan's rookie year, when ATL won by a FG. Orton put Chi up by 1 with an awesome throw into the endzone with 38 secs to go. Unfortunately for Bears fans, that was waaay too much time for Matty Ice---a 35 yard KO return and a still hard to believe throw by Ryan to Jenkins later and we were kicking the game winning FG. Last year, Cutler came in and turned the ball over every time y'all reached the end zone. Either way, I think we'll be seeing Chi ... Posted in: Off Topic |

I know its still super early...superbowl predictions? Chicago has played Atlanta recently, have they not' They played Atlanta last year, yes' And the year before that, yes' And the Bears record in those games' 0-2. Aside from Seattle, there's no team in the NFC I'd rather see the Falcons play---in terms of matchups, there are very few teams in the league I'd rather play than Chicago. Atlanta would whoop the shit out of that team. Posted in: Off Topic |

Today is why CFB > NFL I can see where someone could argue that going to a college game is more fun than going to an NFL game because of the atmosphere, being on campus, etc---but in terms of the product on the field, the actual game...it's not even fucking close. In the NFL, having a really good quarterback is actually important. Too many teams in college football win just because they recruit bigger and better athletes and coaches have nothing to do. Ohio St is the perfect example---a conservative coach who only wins because he fields the bigger and better and faster team every week. Ohio St has a horrible ... Posted in: Off Topic |

2011 Pro Bowl rosters "His game changing ints"...really' For starters, please provide me with the scores at the time of his interceptions so if we can see if they were really "game changing". If they were already up or down two scores they weren't game changing. And if they were game changing, the odds are the only reason they needed that play was because he was beaten over the top earlier. Bazinga. Posted in: Off Topic |

*** Week 16 NFL Power Rankings *** lol----funny how fans of the other team look at the game; the fact of the matter is the Falcons played like crap, couldn't do a thing on offense, had horrible play calling...overall, it was easily their worst game of the year outside of Philly, and they lost by a FG Posted in: Off Topic |

2011 Pro Bowl rosters Which Falcons player is undeserving' Weems, admittedly, is a front runner choice, and I can see where you can perhaps say that Tony G isn't having a great season but really, which TE in the NFC has' That spot would have gone to Finley, who's the best TE in the NFC if he were healthy. Ryan, Turner, White, Abraham, and Mughelli are all deserving and I think J. Babineaux is one of the 5-7 best DTs in the league and I think he was absolutely robbed not being on there. William Moore will be occupying one of the safety spots at the pro bowl for the next 10 years. No worries. Posted in: Off Topic |
