Re:Your reaction on your first 4 or 5 figure online tourney win
Wow, did not know that my original thread would get this many replies, this is awesome. I have had a blast reading all of these responses and makes it feel like a real community as we share our wins and stories on success. I have a full tiem job, so I try to do one tourney when i get home and then several on Saturday and Sunday, trying to build the bankroll and am focusing on the guaranteed tourneys for $6 or $11 buy ins right now. Have cashed but no 4 figure score yet. I think i would just jump out of my chair and fist pump silently and feel like a baller. I did come in 2nd in a limit ...

Re:I know I played this bad but ... what would you have done?
I think it was played well except for post flop. With that flop you are not there to trap as it is a drawy board and someone could easily have AQ. Checking here is bad, plus very dangerous, I would have bet the pot on this board and then whoever calls you can sense what they may have. But by checking, you have to analyze like 4 peoples hands rather than hopefully just one other player. If you bet flop, and they reraise, then you shove or fold. It also depends if you shove and are called by any of these players, would you be eliminated' Not sure of chip counts. I would never shove preflop with ...

Your reaction on your first 4 or 5 figure online tourney win
I have questions on players who have scored huge wins in oline tourneys. I have yet to score a huge win in online poker tourney and was wondering do the sites just straight up deposit the amount in your online bank roll and if so how do you go about withdrawing like 100k online' Do you have to do it in 5k increments or if you win that much do they have a special plan or something' The last question I have is what was your reaction and what you do with your first big win, lastly do you claim your huge online toruney wins for tax purposes' Look forward to replies :)

Re:Tom Dwan is the next Stu Ungar
I think Tom Dwan is pretty good, but compared to Stu Unger, no way. Stu Unger was a great tournament player, one of the best of his time. He won the WSOP twice, Dwan has really done nothing in the tournament circuit. He is like Gus Hansen, he is very sporadic, unpredictable, and lets his money do the talking by bluffing and betting big and it either works or it doesnt. But when someone loses 3 million in one month...that is serious Tilt.

Re:Tilt has left Stars in the dust
I play on both ultimatebet, full tilt and pokerstars, and stars always seems the most reliable and stable in terms of software, games and support. Full Tilt always worries me whenever I withdraw and ultimate bet although huge swings there in the cash, feels drab and lonely. How is STARS for withdrawal now, is it still fast and reliable'
