Stand up comedy, is it for me?
Not to sound defensive but honestly have you ever heard comedy before' My stuff is the furthest from hack. Watch anything on comedy central. 90% of the time it's about relationships, being black, or being poor. If you can find a video close to any of my jokes, I'll give you props. Unfunny I'll take, but hack is crazy.

Stand up comedy, is it for me?
Appreciate the feedback. My favorite comics are Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, and Anthony Jeselnik. I'm not uncomfortable or nervous on stage but agree I should move around more. Thanks for taking time to view the video. 1. How long does it take you to get say a 10-15 minute set written' Like if I told you you needed to do a set tomorrow night for 10-15 minutes with all new material would you say no way or is that doable' To be honest, I do more new jokes than most comics in the scene. Southern California stand up comedy
Hello Off Topic, I posted a few of my comedy videos last year with mix reviews. Well I made it to the finals of San Diego's Funniest Person contest. 75 people started and were down to the final 8. If you want to check out the show it's Monday, May 31, at the Comedy Palace in San Diego at 8 PM. It's 80% audience vote so come check it out if you want to support a fellow off topic member.

It was at Palamar. And they let the guys duke it out for 3 or 4 minutes. Then returned like nothing happened. The one guy folded and the all in showed his runner runner full house. It was really awkward.

Live hand... fight?
Was playing live last night. Two guys agreed to check it down after 400$ was in the pot on the flop. Both have about 600$ behind. On the river first guy checks then other guy goes all in. Check guy calls all in a mother fucker, and then all in guy goes let's go outside. So they do. Leaving there hands at the table and the pot still out there. After about 3 minutes of shouting, but nothing major as there's security guards there, they return. What do you think happened to the pot'

I loved Knocked up, I felt Apatow did a great job mixing comedy and seriousness. But this was the definition of a sell out. They pimped this movie for a week on Comedy Central, only for it to be a zero percent comedy. I knew going in what to expect but I wanted at least a little more comedy. They hyped up that Randy dude, only to see him onscreen for maybe a minute. Really what was the message of the movie' Don't go after your dreams, simply be happy with the the first girl that makes you happy. Typical Hollywood crap. I've played a lot of these tournaments at Viejas. Yes they start off good, but the blinds do make a huge jump. I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to get a good value out of your 350$, but if you just want to play a live tournament for the experience then go for it.

I think it's a fold, esp when looking at the chat. Not sure the exact context but seems like the bb just took a bad beat and is more likely to call light. Not an awful shove though, you need chips in this tournament and I'd almost rather shove 69s over 44

Worst places to pick up women....
I've been single for a little while and have been trying to find out new ways to meet women. All I keep thinking about is finding places not to pick up women. 1. On opposite escalators 2. Planned Parenthood 3. Pregnancy ward at a hospital Any help with places other than bars that are good or bad might be helpful for the single Oter's.

Honestly I'm so sick of this steriod talk. MLB didn't have a policy against it. If you think Hank Aaron didn't take something to enhance his power, you're crazy. Ya maybe those guys didn't have the technology we have now but if your wealth depended on how you performed, you're crazy to think you wouldn't take every opportunity you could. Esp. in this economy we should all understand why these guys took steriods. Don't blame them, blame MLB that was saved by these guys taking steriods.....
