Re:8 week grind + pokerstars
2 weeks at 40 hours a week. so not thesame for sure. but with a week holiday right in the middle of that, a 3 week and 4 week grind should be achieveable. and. good luck to you aswell! the 6.50 45's are horrible for varience. i hope you can take it haha. ill post a blog fairly regular and get a link up for it.

8 week grind + pokerstars
i have nothing better to do than grind $16 turbos for 8 weeks, 40 hours a week. if i 8 table for 8 hours, i calculate about 128 games a night. thats translates to about 4480 games over 35 days (1 week im on holiday). i know its a huge mountain and figures are so easy to make up, but is this about right if i have the will power of chuck norris' or am i way off somewhere' also, PS rekon that ill have platinum star status and make about 64000 FPP in 8 weeks' this just seems absurd to me, but i never put this kind of volume in. any thoughts, advice, observations please'

Re:transition to cash games
cheers, very helpful. ive played a good amount of NL25, just not regularly as SNGs, my bread and butter. i find, however, thats NL25 on UB is the same standard as NL 10 on stars or tilt. so, with the sizeable roll and confidence, ill give it a shot. if it goes wrong, ill stick to SNGs for a while, then try NL25.

Re:transition to cash games
well, id set a LAG kind of image up,, showing down a few bluffs, and representing, also callin down quite light, just being a bit weird and tricky. just to this one guy, cos he seemed competant, but with a hue ego like it was some dick measuring contest. so maybe my line wasnt too bad, i just think the check/min riase is pretty bad. but he completely brought it. just wondered if there were any suggestions, cos i dont think getting someone to stack off that light will be easy to do to someone else.

transition to cash games
ive played SNGs for a while now, and just in my spare time wouldnt mind starting a transition to cash. i wana 4 table 50nl and have a suitable bankroll, planning to step down if i find this level to high. i believe i have the skills, discipline is the one thing i know i need work on. so whats your tips for someone like me, whos never played cash games at any kind of volume before' 6max by the way, playin on UB, so not many regs either

Re:bankroll adviceeeeeee zzzz
thats sound advice. ill stick at UB though, as ive figured out that playing $6 on stars is -EV... $6.50 turbos on stars = 8% rake, no rakeback $6.50 Ultra turbos on UB = 8% rake, 30% rake back $16 on stars = 6% rake, no rakeback ($1 rake on a $15 stake) $11/$22 on UB = 10% rake, 30% rakeback ( on average $1.00 rake on a $15 stake with 30% rakeback taken into account) so its +EV for me to play on UB until i step upto the $16 level, obviously im completely ignoring FPPs etc. on stars, but ill take the rakeback in cash until i move up and i can get the same rake deal + FPPs on stars. although ...

Re:bankroll adviceeeeeee zzzz
Thats good advice indeed, and ill certainly keep the second option in mind if i were to drop below $500 ive run 25% ROI over 500 games at the $11/$22 Ultra turbos (same starting stacks, just 2 minute levels) so im pretty confident i can beat these stakes only difference is they were on UB and these are on stars, so obv. way more regs. but i should take less swings as the $16s are just normal turbos. ive instead decided to keep my roll on UB and grind to to $1300, leaving me $300 to cash out and $1000 to put on stars, which i think is a little better than $800 and should give me more ...

Summer Goals
Ok, I finish college on july 7th, and have 8 weeks before i got off to university. im planning to put 40 hours a week in every week and want to set some goals, because ive played successfully for 6 months, but never got the opportunity to focus and put the hours in that i think could help me go to the next level, especially as far as MTTs go. I wanted to have a set of goals to give me something to aim for, and to keep track of my progress. I might end up blogging this, with weekly updates, just as a form of motivation. A rough set were : Run 2000 9 man $11/$22 UT SNG's at 25% ...
