Using your quote as a jumping off point, not to start an argument, but Zimmermans worth dollar wise comparable to the rest of league simply cant be done. Anyone who doesnt live in DC doesn't understand his worth to the organization as the face of the franchise. Go to a Nats game and its 50% Zimmerman jerseys and shirts. He puts people in the seats and thats worth his contract.

Mkind - Nice double quote. Way to put me in my place. Me saying "Because of injuries and I guess, although I have no statistical data to back that up. Just my opinion of the guy." is totally the same thing as calling him injury prone. Anyone who thinks he will put up the same averages as last year and wants to put money on it step up to the plate. PLEASE. Everyone (MKind and AMartin) who have Lee's and PHI's back AS A TEAM, I would relish to opportunity to back up my words with my money. Philly wins fewer games than the Nationals. Mark it down.

Since when does a slightly above average position player replace a solid 2/3 SP in total wins'' Thats my point. A post-injury Lee, regardless of what the injury is, coupled with Halladay isnt enough to ride the Phillies through the wave of injuries into the playoffs. My position on Lee has never been solely about him,b but about his ability to be the 1/2 SP the Phillies need to make the playoff push long term when including the injuries they are going to have to deal with.

I backed off on the Reyes line. He isnt declining. He is close to the plus side of 30 and wont put up the number this year or in the future that he did in 2011. Mark my words. Lee wont back up last year and his best years in the past this year or ever again and Reyes wont have the year (BA wise) that he did last year EVER again. Ill take ANY bets on that. Reyes will produce but not enough to compliment Ramirez to the division title and Lee cant supplement Halladay to the title either. I wont guarantee a Nats NL east division title but I would take odds against anyone who wants to bet ...

Never said he was injury prone. I said I didnt trust him post this injury to come back and be able to carry the Phillies with Halladay the way they will need to be carried given their current age and injury situation. And like I said, I have zero statistical proof to back up this theory, its just my opinion.

Over rated is the wrong word. Over hyped, over praised maybe' Maybe just unreliable. And yes, 10 scoreless is a great game. Not saying he isnt good, just saying he isnt trustworthy. Either way, Halladay and an already injured Lee are not going to carry an aging, injured Philly team.

Almost three weeks into the season and here are my thoughts thus far: AL East - It gives me great pleasure to see the Red Sox and even more so, Bobby V crashing early the way they are. The have average SP at best the bullpen is horrendous. Mix that with a decent but inconsistent lineup and the Sox WILL finish below .500 and Im glad to see it. Even with their SP problems, the Yankees have to be the favorite with a very good TB team just behind. Should be a good race throughout the year. AL Central - The Tigers. Thats it. Theyll win 95+ in a terrible division and roll into the ...

Braves Fans Only!
The NL east is going to be a crapshoot this year. Braves, Marlins, Philly and the Nats are going to beat each other up and all prob win 84-92 games. The last couple weeks of september are going to be great.

Missed Game Winner
Hit into a game ending double play with the bases loaded and my team down by one. It was the championship game of a baseball league in which my team had gone undefeated throughout the regular season. Worst feeling of my sports career growing up.

Stayed with stand up comedy, here's a new video
I thought it was good. A couple a really good lines and pretty decent interaction with the crowd. Id be impressed if I went to an amateur (no offense) hour show and you were up there. Only thing, not sure how wide the stage was, but move around a little. that stage looked small so it may not have been an option but just my .02. A side note, the guy either holding the camera or sitting right next to it, his laugh was gold and had me laughing at times I wouldnt have normally been. I gotta imagine that helps when watching your shit online for the extra lulz factor. Well done.
