lol yeah some of the dealers here aren't brilliant. I've had dealers that are 50-odd years old and can't shuffle the deck of cards. We only got in 2 orbits per 30min level at one point he was so bad!!! Sirjwab I've had the same problem here as well, I was like 'wtf'''' haha

OnUrBikeSon defo missed the point lol he wasn't trying to claim the win as the floor ruled that the pot was the other guys, we all just thought that his hand was dead. Interesting. Thanks for the responses, it seems the ruling wasn't as bad as I thought. Obviously I guess the fact it was my friend clouds my judgment!! But it was obv still a douche move and the other players definitely let him know haha!

Playing in a casino and a friend was involved in this hand: Board of 10 3 7 10 9. all in on turn. he has three tens and flips it over. Villain says nice hand and shows a three then throws his cards forward. They do not hit the muck, but they cross the chip line. Then the dealer takes the rake and pushes the pot to my friend, about half has been pushed at this point, then villain flips over another three for a full house. After much debate the floor is called and they rule in favour of the villain and he gets the pot. Me and my friend both thought that seen as his cards had crossed the line ...

yeah i remember reading about it to but watching it was worse. i watched it with my gf (who didnt know and was rooting for Matt all along) and she was just like 'wtf'''' also i just watched it again and noticed Dolans face just when Matt announces all-in, he does a double take and is like 'wut'!'

Cash game question/how many buy ins
Definitely 20 buy-ins for the micros (25NL and below, maybe 50NL too). If you want to play as a pro then i know of some who have 100 buy-ins but that is a bit excessive for all but the highest of stakes. Seen as you are new to cash then you should probably start at 25NL at the highest with about $1000 just to make sure you can handle the swings in the learning process. EDIT: This is assuming you are playing NLHE. For fixed limit it's a different matter that i don't know about.

Been asked a million times BUT
i dont know what you should play with a $5k bankroll (100NL maybe) but, if i read your post right, you said you work full time' that will surely make attaining SNE impossible' i just know only a few people a year actually attain SNE and thats playing all day every day (maybe that a slight exaggeration but you can see what i mean). if im wrong then someone please correct me.

if someone is such a nit that you get flamed for calling there, is he REALLY showing up with that many 9s' if any at all' i doubt he calls with K9/Q9. So really its only 66 or A9 you have to worry about but then again if hes a nit and is calling with A9 then i wouldnt describe him as a nit personally... just my opinion but one that i think has been overlooked slightly. EDIT: also if your $1/$2 players are as bad as our 50p/£1 players (which i assume they are from what ive read/heard from others) then folding trips, esp with a half stack, is generally ridiculous

Chatbox that has made you LOL today....
i had a shortstacker on one of my cash tables yesterday and when i called him down with JJ on AKxxx (he bet when he missed and checked when he had it so i knew he was bluffing) and he was saying how my calling his turn bet was wierd, the convo went: him: "weird you calling there fish" me: "you gave me odds to draw to the flush!" him: "why would i give you odds to draw there'!" me: "i dont know, you made the bet" then a few hands later i stacked him with KK when he had AQ on Qxx flop and the convo went: him: "f***in fish! god youre so bad!" me: "but i won" him: "i was only playin with $10 ...

estimated time the 50 billionth hand will be hit????
the number of people that left after the hand was dealt was crazy! a whole bunch of the 25NL tables had waiting lists of like 10-15 people then like within 10mins of the hand was dealt no table had a waiting list and all tables had about 4 people playing at most! i think like 40,000 people logged off within 10mins or something

Petition to Stars for 'Weekly 10k buyin'
didnt they do like a weekly $5k tournament a couple of years ago and limited the field to like 20 or something' it was always interesting to watch but the fact they've stopped running it seems to say something about it. it would be good from a railbirds point of view though

why is mekhi phifer a red pro?
its all about promotion. if people who dont play poker see Bruce Buffer etc on something saying he plays at Full Tilt then they'll think "oh he plays poker' i might give it a try, seen as he plays there i'll play there too" and it equals more $ for Full Tilt. FT dont care if these sponsored people are winners or losers
