Lock Poker purchase of the Cake Poker Network
this sounds like merge wants to expand and take their destiny into their own hands instead of having to answer to merge. They are the biggest skin and the most trusted skin. So they buyout cake and now can take control of things. I think this is a really good sign for non-regulated US poker because it shows that Lock is willing to invest in the Cake network. This also means that the cake network at present might be really cheap. This could also mean that Lock thinks the Merge network might have problems in the future.

Charity Poker in Michigan
well i don't go that often but i feel like i'm kind of an expert on these places. Go to Snookers, skip Cada's for now. Cada has a higher reg percentage, it's been lowering since the opening but you'll find bigger field sizes and more fish at Snookers. Also Snookers blows away all the other nearby places since they have the best structure you can find next to Cada's. Cada's has better structure but they just opened in November so they don't have their regular fish customer base as well built. 20% is taken out of the prize pool which means it's a 25% rake. 80+20=100. Just something to think ...

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
Run 4 Shelter, not sure what your problem is, appreciate the opinion, but you are clearly not informed about the trading industry, and general negative attitude is unnecessary, i mean who goes into other people's threads and criticize OP's sentence structure, how is that constructive, it's just a forum post, not a thesis. that being said, from my research on twoplustwo investment forums, there's a general split consensus. One group likes putting it and owning it, and another group prefers to not include because most normal jobs don't understand what online poker is. The finance industry is ...

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
wait really' prop firm is what i'm targetting with this resume, i figure it wouldn't make sense to put poker for an ibank or a hedge fund, but really' I thought the trading industry looks well on poker, and probably the only real job that does so. I have about a 3 year Gap from graduation to now.

stars 50r hand vs gagliano30,do you fold to gags 4bet on the flop?
In cash games, people are willing to stack off lighter and it's deeper and they barrel more and bet sizes are larger, so most of your arguments go against you. I wouldn't be calling most opens even against a competent button range from the sb with 33's. Although half of this is because the button open will get squeezed from the bb. the fact that you don't need to be balance is just saying you don't respect the opener and the possible squeezer behind you. In the bb, i'm fine with calling when getting good odds and closing the action, in the sb i think the play in a vacuum is weak. If Gags ...

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
Looking to get into trading. I feel like poker is something I can put on my resume for trading but I'm not sure how to write it, do I give a description' Do I write down my win rate or overall profit along with among of time spent' It's funny because i never considered myself a professional player. Would it be a good idea to write that i'm self-employed maybe I ran my own poker business, where playing and coaching can both be consider an aspect of the business. I don't mind exaggerating a little bit on the resume but obviously haven't established an LLC or anything.

stars 50r hand vs gagliano30,do you fold to gags 4bet on the flop?
in these situation where he's repping a monster or a draw, and you have position, calling is always going to be better than raising, 3betting flop and folding seems obviously ridiculous with kk's since u r beating a big part of his range. Basically i don't think he's check raising 1010 99 here too often for value, so you are not inducing a ton except if he wants to play jj or qq's a little weird, so just call and call down on certain cards is gonna be better than getting it in. Lose less when you are beat, and win more when he's bluffing. also i'm surprised he called with 33's, he must think ...

22$ cubed itm river spot vs gags30
bet turn, check river, your range just looks weak right now, i'm sure there's some value hands in his range, maybe even kj, your hand is face up. your value bet sizing is just retarded against a regular, there's no worse ace in his range, u think u r getting called by qj here' if u r value betting these spots u should just bomb it if u want a curious look up against a reg like gags. getting check raise bluffed is a disaster when u r never getting called by worse. so the only reasonable line is bet/call but he can easily be value betting a set or two pair here since bet check bet line just ...

Do different skins on the same network have the same quality client?
I'm thinking about starting an account on 5dimes for obvious reasons, since i'm gonna have money on there, i was considering just playing poker on there as well instead of ACR. I'm wondering if people know what the key differences are between skins. I understand the cashout/deposit side. Rakeback/promotion is skin specific as well as customer support, but what about client' Do they just share the same client but with different logos' Any sports people have any advice on combining or separating their sports/poker needs would be appreciated. Since BetCris owns the Winning Poker Network, i'm ...

not sure why you are calling pre if you are gonna fold this flop. Calling seems to standard with the intentions of taking it away later if you sense weakness.

AA open limped from late pos, 11$mtt
i mean there isn't anything too terribly wrong with the line post flop besides getting unlucky and running into a random 2 pair. The style of play is exploitable in the long run against the same opponent but probably is fine in the short term against low stakes randoms. I mean he's basically shoving the turn, so i don't entirely see how this is going to be negative ev in a vacuum. The 3 is kind of a brick since it's against the sb and not the bb. BB can have any trash 2 pair, while the sb needs something. And you can rule out some sets out of his range from his flop lead. And obviously ...

Stars $109 Final Table - Very different spot
check call seems to be pretty standard, thinking they will hero u without any particular read or history seems unreasonable. Draws can play however they want to, to be honest, there's no real rule that getting it in on the flop is the best play. Call Call, jam certain rivers is certainly viable if you know what u r doing and have a good feel for the opponent. J10, 108, 86, clubs. The fact that 1 queen is out of the way doesn't change check/call vs shoving too much since a queen will always get the money in with you. All it does is weigh his range more towards the hands you beat. So ...

straight+ nut flush draw, my line too weak? 5r final 2 tables
seems fine, get it in on the flop is most standard, jamming the turn is also ok if he thinks u float a lot or you think he's likely to double barrel that card. Since it's a deunce of hearts, i would just call and obviously float the river. Calling preflop is fine in my opinion if u r going to make plays when you miss, either float or bluff raise with bd fd or/and overs. And of course also you need the blinds to not be squeeze happy. you can also 3bet this as a bluff.

Calling off w/ AQ on the bubble
this is just a fold, his raise looks super strong, icm only makes folding more attractive. You have to ask yourself why isn't he shoving his weaker hands, kqs, 66's. And then someone else goes all in after that, your hand shouldn't even be ahead.
