Re(6): what do you guys do here 2/4 nl..... I am just wondering, cos this might be a major leak in my game .... but I don't raise 22,33,44 from UTG and UTG+1 in 6 max .Why would you want to raise 22 from UTG''' I know it is what pretty much all top players do so I'm not questioning its merits at all, I would just like to understand the reasoning behind it. Re(4): what do you guys do here 2/4 nl..... What do you put the other guy on'' What makes logical sense to you. Yes your hand is underrepresented but just based on that doesn't make it a call you still have to consider your opponent's holdings. Surely he woulda bet the flop even if he missed completely seeing he was the initial raiser and has position. Also the board is so drawy he wuda bet a pair/two pair before the river. Also cuthroat bet $38 into a $34 pot I can't see many tight opponents raising a river bet like that with just two pair on that board. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): what do you guys do here 2/4 nl..... This happens a bit, the guy checking the stone colds on the turn with posish and then raising a solid pot size bet on the end. In my opinion he wouldn't raise the river with nothing because your river bet shows strength and maybe he's hoping you checked a weaker flush on the turn to try to induce a bet. Just thoughts on how you played the hand. If you were to play LAG (raise any pp 22+ from utg+) then i feel you actually woulda lost a fuckload in this hand. Because after your cont bet you probably woulda bet the turn big as well and then yeah... Personally I don't mind limping small pairs ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): what do you guys do here 2/4 nl..... I think this is definitely a fold. What are you beating'''' You played it ok up until the turn please put a bet out there. What you do know is: -He probably doesn't have an ace otherwise he would have led out on the flop. -Even if he didn't have an ace like maybe a pair of 8s or something he still probably woulda led the flop in the hope of taking it down as he was the initial raiser. Even like q10 j8 I'm pretty sure he wuda led there. -Therefore his check behind on the flop seems to be taking a free drawing card (obviously the flush in this scenario) -And then he checks behind on the ... Re(5): Omaha Tournament Question..NEED HELP!!! You're in latish position and you shove a garbage hand and manage to get it all in pre. Obviously you are shortstacked cos the pot is half your stack. However, while it is an average hand and really very hard to play postflop it has a lot of equity as a shoving hand in late position. Obviously if your stack is half the size of the pot then you are quite short and this should be a standard shove as you get equity vs any hand other than aces (i.e this is blatanly a +ev move). I can't understand where people are coming from in this thread, go consult your Omaha calculator. You're a slight ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
