The only "idiots in this discussion are anyone who makes a statement like "I would always do this" or "of course he is wrong to do that" . There is a price for everything and you have to factor in the stacks, who has what stacks, how strong each player is, how tired they are, what position the stacks and strong players are in relative to you, etc etc. It is ridiculous for someone on the rail to opine with such criticism without sitting in their shoes.

Hand 1- There is nothing wrong with flatting here. You are so deep that a raise WILL give away your aces. A flat leaves some doubt and you can still flop the winner. If you are going to fold aces preflop for 2% of your stack, you're in the wrong game. Hand 2- Agree with Ozzie. What are you waiting for' Jam it. Your flush may be good. A nine may win. Heck, two pair may be good enough. And it's not certain the A 2 is out there.

World Poker Tour runs a few cruises per year. Not sure which ships they use. I went on one on Norwegian. They had two adjoining conference rooms they had running about 16 hours perday when they weren't in port.

Most of the Royal carib ships now have an electronic table now where they play 1/2 No-limit. Usually it's $100 buyin. Games are weak but the rake is ridiculous. I think it was %10 with a $15 cap.

Looking for this answer also. Will be there for just two days next week. Only thing one friend did tell me is that the only game he saw over 4/8 was at the Rio. Players were tough and he really didn't like the staff/room.

I agree it was a very difficult call on the end for Friedman. Don't think that badly of the fold. The mistake was not blasting away after the flop. What are you waiting for when you play 77 but a flop like that. Either put in a very big raise or push. There is virtually nothing that could come on the turn or river that would make him comfortable (except , of course, a seven).

I play more Omaha 8 than high-only but I don't agree with the automatic pot bet on flop. You have 6 people in pot ; your hand is not that great. You're very liable to be up against someone drawing to a set and certainly someone is drawing to spades. Play the flop cautiously. After the turn card essentially blanks and you've lost a couple competitors, I think you should push hard. BTW, no way you should raise preflop. Calling OK although I don't think there's anything wrong with folding either.
