pocket pairs in NL cash games Implied odds are a major part of it. I use 10-1 as a rule of thumb. When thinking about 3 betting, I prefer to 3 bet against a TAG player actually because you can figure out where you are easier. A TAG has a smaller calling range, and will fold out almost everything. Therefore when they call, you can narrow their range and can basically shut down if you dont flop big. LAGs will call you with a wider range, so you are then forced to play a pot OOP against an agressive player and only having a marginal holding. HU Deep Stack Cash Well, I lost the HH now, but basically I check and he bet 125 into the pot. Wasnt really sure what to do there, so I just smooth called and then checked the river again. He check behind and showed 84 spades, for a busted flush draw. Obviously I played it bad letting him get to the river for only that one turn bet, but live and learn i guess.... The 4 bet and then check behind really threw me off. Possibly because we were both so deep stacked, and it was such a tricky board.
