Re(1): Starting over..... Been in a similar spot myself before, this isnt gospel, but it helped me. After a few big wins I decided to spread my winnings around a few different sites, this did not work for me, previously I saw my bankroll as somthing to protect, it looked so pretty, but spread out across sites each individual bankroll didnt look so good and I played recklessly. Now I strictly play on pokerstars and my bankroll is treated like it was my firstborn. Another thing I do now is study my previous days hand histories before I play. If I had a good day, great, it gets me in the mood for playing well, if I had ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Non PXF Hand Viewers Hi all, I'm signed up to PXF and the hand viewer is great, really good for studying previous games. Does anyone know of any other hand viewers that are available' The reason I ask is because I want to save hand histories to my hard drive and PXF only allows a certain number at a time on your account. thanks DS Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Blind Stealing 101 article Wow, Never expected this level of response which can only be a good thing in my opinion. It was wrote with the new guys in mind and it appears that it has got across to them. It was by no means the bible and should not be taken anything more than advice and what I have found useful at the tables myself. Poker is such a complex game that there really is no right or wrong way to play. I must admit I might find it a bit harder to steal in the future because of this, made a bit of a rock for my back there. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Blind Stealing 101 article Thanks guys Yes, just a general article and had the newbie in mind, by no means is this for the high stakes online players, its written for the guys who sit around waiting for aces who want to start accumulating chips. keep the feedback coming Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker & Exercise Update Well its been a week, I have lost 3lbs and I have pretty much broken even at the tables. I have been throwing away more junk hands as a direct result which is a postive, generally I have played pretty well and went out just before the FT twice this week. I have also stopped slowplaying monsters which has probably saved me money and heartache. The weight loss has mainly been due to diet and general exercise as opposed to the fact that I have been doing star jumps everytime I lose with the idiot end of a straight, but it certainly has helped. My aim for next week is to lose another ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Poker & Exercise Good stuff, we should update each other, be like online gym buddies or something. I was lifting big, fast, fit etc. Now my back is going into spasms after I lifted my weekly food shopping out of the car. I just have visions of me putting my back out on the floor and not being able to get to my pc in time when I get dealt bullets. I guess that would make a decent bad beat story. Poker & Exercise A friend of mine has come up with an idea that is both genius and very stupid. I was once quite athletic, I ran a few marathons, lifted weights, little bit of boxing etc. In the last 8 months I have gone from a fighting weight of 186lbs to a blobby 202lbs. This has been due to: New Girlfriend means I have been complacent at the gym (because I am no longer out sarging every weekend for some skirt so I dont care how big my arms are) New Girlfriend means I go out more and indulge on rich food I play poker I am now back in training and have entered my local Marathon as a milestone to get me ... Me + HORSE = Donkey So I enter one of those HORSE tournaments on Full Tilt. I'm a Hold em man myself, played a little Omaha, but essentially I'm a one trick pony and figured this would be a fun way of getting to grips with several games at the same time. A combination of skill, luck and blind stupidity sees me chip leader and cruising to the FT, some people are praising me like I know what I am doing, maybe I am an unbelievable player after all. I'm playing a normal NLHE SNG at the same time, and I flick back to see I've got aces in the hole and a 9 showing in a seven stud hand. Several players in the pot are ... Ultimatebet and the reverse-donk effect Hi all, I wandered onto Ultimatebet from Pokerstars the other week, nice enough little site, has nowhere near the number of SNGs or field sizes, but it does have one feature that I like, I don't use it myself but I think its existence has helped me build up a nice looking bankroll in the last week. Where we often find that pokerstars players sometimes call with anything, UB players seemingly will fold anything. They have a function I haven't seen on any other site and that is the option to show the hand you are folding. Ultimatebet I think is culturally very different to Pokerstars, which at ... Player Noting Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. What sort of things do people look for when they are player noting people' At the moment I'm finding my notes tend to consist of whether or not they suck, whether they are tight/aggressive and usually will note any stupid instance they call an all in with 3rd pair or a gutshot. Im finding that when I am reunited with these people my notes are not helping me that much (unless its a warning that the other player will call anything or another significant warning). What sort of player notes do people find useful when they are reunited with someone ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
