Re(1): Cash game hand...
This case would've been more clear cut if there weren't 3 of a suit on the flop. Now he can raise with the naked Ace, making a free card play in position. The safe thing is folding, because a lot of scary cards can appear on the turn and being out of position makes it very hard to know where you're at. But if you think you are ahead on the flop, a push is the right move. It's always hard to lay down an overpair to 3 unders, but this was an icky situation to say the least.

Re(2): Tough Hand - Atlantic City - 25/50NL
If villain would've valuebet the flop, it would have looked more like an overpair like JJ or QQ trying to see where it was at, but Nick is a smart player and could've seen it for exactly what it was: a valuebet. Nick knows his opponent is playing for set value and probably wouldn't continue without hitting it.

Re(1): Final Table Situation (need help on proper play)
I would've raised with tens in the cut-off for sure. An open-limp and a limp behind, you just have to assume your hand is best here and your great position makes a raise even more tempting. A raise normally accomplishes two things: you limit the field and you get a better idea where you stand in the hand. You could even take it down pre-flop, which wouldn't be a bad result. By not raising, you are signalling to the blinds no one of the limpers has a hand, which leaves you susceptible to these kind of plays from the big blind. He could be making this play with any pair, or AJ, KQ, etc... ...

Re(1): Tough Hand - Atlantic City - 25/50NL
Well, you putting in the 3rd raise pretty much said you had a premium pair. UTG+1 must have picked up on that, so why would he push if he thought you would call with an overpair' I think there is a very real possibility he has 99 and is actually counting on you to call. Then again, he might be making the same play Brad Booth made against Phil Ivey in High Stakes Poker Season 3 Last Episode, pushing with a weak hand thinking the opponent would never commit this much with just an overpair. The more I write about it, the more I get lost it seems. :) What actually happened'

Re(1): Is this a bad call on the bubble?
Instacall, his range is so wide here, AK is good most of the time. Besides that, you can afford to call without going broke.

Re(2): Cash game question: Royal Draw -- Push or fold?
Raise more pre-flop, your raise of 6 times the big blind with 4 callers is a bit on the small size for my taste, especially out of position. I think you played the flop fine though.

Re(4): How would you have played this hand?
The full-ring vs short-handed argument is a important one. I see you were playing this way to slowplay a bit, which is fine, probably got the maximum here.

Re(1): How would you have played this hand?
Why not reraise the flop to better define your hand' Would've made the turn play easier, probably. Edit: Unless you called to flop to set up the turn push intentionally.

Re(7): Home Game hand advice KK vs AA
Your actions were all correct, the raise to 3000, the call of his all-in. You shouldn't think in pure odds, the game is 5-handed, he could move in with any pair or AK, AQ, etc... Kings are good here more often than not. The only time you should ever think about folding kings pre-flop is after the 4th raise or so....

Re(1): Whats your play here??
Tmay is a good player, to say the least. Considering your stack, he might think it's likely you'll only play back here with a premium hand, increasing his range. This is a tough spot, because it's all-in or fold obviously and I can't really say for sure if you're ahead or not, that is: if he's making a move or not. I don't think he can fold if you push, he'd be getting 3:1.

I think you're up against AK at worst, probably have to fold here, tens are just a little too vulnerable.

Re(2): Standard Cash Game Laydown?
I agree with Pariah here. If you just call his min-raise on the flop, you have very little information about his hand and you are saying that you have a weakish hand, thus leaving yourself open to a bluff on the turn; you give away the initiative. If you re-raise the flop, you get a better feel for where your opponent is at, because you are saying you have a good hand. If he calls or re-re-raises it, you can safely dump it and of course he could fold. On the other hand, if you thought you were beat on the flop, you should have folded to his min-raise.

Re(1): Serious Home Game Trny with AA
First of all: Great job on the player descriptions. I'd think he would've raised the flop with a J, just to see if it's any good. The min-raise is always such a dead giveaway, I don't think folding here is very wrong. 3250 chips is an amount you can still work with.

Re(1): how do u play AQ here?
If he has been pretty solid with his EP raising, there is definitely no shame in folding here. AQ is such an icky hand. Only call here if you're good enough not to go broke when an A or Q hits.

Re(1): Was I outplayed here??? Also, three questions...
Villain had A9 for a missed straight draw. This was a $0.10 tourney on stars. Mistake 1) You should never limp suited connectors in EP. Mistake 2) Don't bet 1/3 of the pot with your hand/draw on the flop Mistake 3) Don't make the same bet on the turn when the flush card hits, it tells him you still have somewhat of a hand, but are now scared Mistake 4) After you've shown you're scared, don't bet the river, if you can't call a raise, rather make a check-call

Never second guess yourself if you got the money in with the best of it, what you wanted to happen, happened, don't be results oriented.

Re(3): Sit and Go Rebuys ???
Well, why shouldn't poker sites make money off rebuy SNG's, they can rake the initial buy-in. I think it's a great idea as long as they also take the micro players into considerations. On Poker Stars there are $1.20 and $5.50 45 player SNGs, I would like to see some $3.30's as well. Rebuys do not go against the definition of SNG's, SNG's just start when all seats are filled and tourneys start at a set time, no matter how many players entered.

Re(1): playing a speculative hand OOP?
1st one: Check-fold, that board is too connected for a limped pot too be able to take it down right here. 2nd one: Bet out, if someone had a big king, they would've probably raised pre-flop. 3rd one. Your draw is so big you wouldn't mind getting it all-in here. Bet out or check-raise all-in. In any case, I likely bet out if I think there is a decent chance I can take it down or I have a huge draw. Other cases, I'm check-folding.

Re(3): Barry Greenstein is a donkey
I found Greenstein one of the best players in High Stakes Poker, it amazed me how much action he got on his good hands late in season 2 when he had been playing tight for a while. But the full details of a hand between people who play so regularly with each other will always be a mystery to us, because we don't know the history of other hands those people played. Therefore, not knowing everything, we can never criticize a play like this.

Re(1): Omaha Hand
I wonder if slowplaying is really required since you're only probably going to get action from a Jack or lower boat here. I wouldn't even consider quads, because the odds are so slim and if he has it, I go broke. But if you play the flop fast with your boat, you can go 'fishing for a J' which makes trips in this case, and build a pot before any card comes off that can complete a straight and kills your action, in this case a 9, T, Q or A.

Re(2): Was this the right call?
Calling the min-raise and folding if you miss your set leaves you very close to push-or-fold mode, I don't like it. Calling for set value if the bet is something like at least a 10th of both you and your opponent's stack is a safer way to go. If you thought he was somewhat weak, because of the min-raise, you should have pushed.

Trying to find relevant links between quantum physics and poker may be a whole new science. Even though mankind may one day understand more about quantum physics, but the variables are too plenty to make good predictions about how the quantum physics in a man define his actions. Then there is the case of the 'mind-versus-body', are human actions defined by their fabric or do they have some kind of special soul that is given to them by some higher entity at birth' The only relevant links are that you have to be intelligent to understand both and that there is always a factor of uncertainty, ...
