Guys, we're talking about tournaments here. If a guy is playing decent and reshoves on you once with 15 bb's, it's not gonna make a whole world of difference who this guy is. It takes about 2 orbits to figure out if a tournament player is good. So figure it out and be a good poker player. You only have 20 bb's it's not that hard if you are putting time into learning the game.

I have played on pokerstars for the majority of my poker career. For about a month earlier this year I switched to playing mostly on full tilt. I was playing on an unknown name on full tilt, and I definitely felt that I had an advantage against players who didn't know my tendencies. It took a very short time for the good regulars to figure out how I was playing and start to make adjustments against me. I completely understand how he gained a slight edge because of this, but good players will soon learn the tendencies of his new account and make the proper adjustments. In a perfect world, ...

On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being breaking no rules at all and 10 being superusing, i'd give this about a 1.9 in terms of how much it sucks... I don't think this is a big deal at all, especially in tournaments where he's probably not even gaining a significant edge by being unknown for a few tournaments until people realize this new name is pretty good and play him like a good player anyway.

He only would have won this pot if he had AA, which is impossible since there are 3 aces gone. It would have been a chop if he held A9, but I think he made a smart fold to move up a spot instead of calling for the chop.

Shoving range I believe is 100% here. Your callign range I think should be 99+, AT+, and maybe KQ. If he's not shoving 100%, I wouldn't call with KQ, as Ax would be way too big a part of his range.

I have never played with thetakeover, but I would be shocked if AA or 77 are in his range for this hand. I think you can take some draws out of his range tho, with the turn action, he's going to be folding flush draws on the turn on occasion.

Slickster, I would highly advise against doign this. About halfway through this year, I decided that I had a realistic shot of getting to supernova elite. I had earned about 300k vpps by July, and figured if I committed myself to getting elite that the bonuses and rewards would be worth it. I currently sit 100k vpps away from elite with one bitch of a winter break head of me as I don't have a whole lot of time to play now with papers to write and tests to study for. I have no doubt that you will be able to reach 1 million vpps, as it isn't really a hard mark to reach for a full time pro who ...

I can't believe there are people in the world who single table

Some clarification: If you EVER see me in one of these tournies it will count and I will send you $100: Super Tuesday any $100 rebuy the nightly $150 the wednesday $300 also, if I am in anything that involves more or less than 2 hole cards I will send you $100 If I am anything that limits the amount of betting on any street I will send you $100 That's about it, there shouldnt be anymore confusion.
