Ok to set mine here? Your getting 3.9-1 immediate odds (320 x 3 + 60 = 1020 / 260), and you should be getting somewhere around 13-20 times the amount you need to call at the point it becomes a set mine (320-60 = 260 -- 60 already invested before the action to set mine) so unless you stack more then 1 player or get some extra $ in the pot, needing about 3900 (260x15) its not the right odds. Also, you would be investing 13% of your stack which makes this a bad set mine imo. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:relaxing poker without the herb? I started playing poker while smoking bud, and continued to play while constantly smoking and playing for the first 2 yrs. About 1 yr and a few months ago i stopped, realizing that while it is relaxing and calming while playing you are giving up an edge in a way. While working very hard day in and day on your game, in every aspect is especially crucial, keeping a clear head and what could be an edge over most players at the table is also very important, the faster and clearer the decisions are to you the higher you ROI will continue to grow. Its a HUGE lifestyle change, but like someone said ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:$400 bankrool advice This is pretty bad BR managment Are you playing for fun, for a living, semi serious trying to actually get somewhere with your br' It all depends on your situation, how many games do you play per session' You should probably stick to at least 100 buyins of your average buyin per session, but then again it depends on your situation. Re:How do you keep leaks from reforming in your game? Try doing a few things. 1 - throughout your session save hands that you question whether you got the right value, or if you could have done something differet on a certain street, and review the hands later 2 - keep a note pad close by and write down key spots to remember to think about later. 3 - make a vid of your play in a replayer program and review your play for the same things above. If you can learn your mistakes, just dont make them again. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
