Kobe Bryant and Antonio Esfandiari "ballin'" at the Wynn
Kobe Bryant is known for being a tough competitor -- in the club'! Basketballin' Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, were at Friday night's grand opening of BLUSH Boutique Nightclub at the Wynn in Las Vegas, when he saw poker player Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari kick in for two bottles of $1,400 Cristal champagne. According to sources inside the club, Kobe wasn't about to be shown up by some puny little card player -- and kicked in for five bottles. Antonio, who's used to upping the ante, then switched his order to ten! Go big or go home! Kobe ended the competition ...

Re(2): 3r FTP FT bubble, analyze shove/call while I go kick a dog:
Granted 72o is trash, but 74d is a hand you can at least flop something with. I have no problem with anything I've seen, obviously if it goes to a HU situation you fold the hand, but you got in a spot multiway where you had a pair and a flush/draw. If you want to be a nit like some of these other idiots, fine, but it'll be pretty rare when you find yourself in a "bad" spot like this (you know, when you have the best hand')

Re(2): Whats your play on the river?
Most likely check, if you have no reads on the player, it wouldn't be a bad play to be able to see what he's called you down with if you do indeed have the best hand.

They've done this in a few other events. Why would checking out Hellmuth's chip count (or actually seeing if there's anyone worth noting is still in the tournament) make anyone a loser'

PokerNews Chip Counts
Are they intentionally trying not to post chip counts in the 1500 event' I've noticed this happening with a few of the other tournaments where this feature is ignored completely by their crew.

Raising UTG on the bubble a -EV play?
I'm not concerned with the result of the hand, I'm curious on the take of raising to steal blinds is a bad play here with this MTT. This 10 dollar payed the top 63 and it was 65 players remaining, the two shortest stacks were clearly stalling on the previous 4 hands. I was just moved to this table and raised one pot where I was min-raised and then shoved on and the players showed KK and AK. My friend seems to think it was a bad play because I was UTG, I think it's irrelevant if the intent of the hand is to steal the blinds and antes considering even with the chip stacks players are folding a ...

Re(3): Sex, What is the big deal?
This doesn't really relate to stealthmunk's question, but here's my 2 cents. The biggest problem is that girls from 18-21 or specifically the college aged girls don't have a clue in their head. They're either mindless drones that are by products of MTV and Grey's Anatomy or they're smelly politically correct hippy douche bags. The ones who I've met who have had a clue about life and not make you dispise them are the ones who didn't goto school and have been working and have an idea on how the world works. If it's not a big deal to you now, don't worry about it, you're not going to get any ...

Re(2): "I like cash games because I can see flops!"
Not even sure why I put flops in quotes. But I listen to a lot of the poker podcasts and the first and last thing that cash gamers makes themselves notorius for is "being able to play after the flop" (yes, they say this exactly). When in a lot of situations where big pots arise in 25-50 on up the big pots don't come on the flop but more preflop with AK shoving into someone.

I'm not complaining, because I don't play many cash games. I'm just saying for all the reputations that cash games have flops don't appear to be included in the bigger games.

"I like cash games because I can see flops!"
Fitting because everytime I watch the 200/400 game there's a re-raise every single hand. Each hand goes something like this. Player 1 raises to 1,400 Player 2 jams the pot button to 5,400 Player 1 value repots with JJ to 15,000 Player 2 says "lol, fold equity" and shoves 40k Player 1 says "lawl AK obv" and calls Whoever wins gets adored by 2p2.
