WSOP November Nine Final Table Thread Break Time Hand #166: Jonathan Duhamel Posted 13 minutes ago by FerricRamsium Jonathan Duhamel has the button in Seat 4. He opens to 2.2 million when the table folds to him, and Michael Mizrachi calls from the small blind. John Racener does so as well from the big, and we've got three-way action. The flop rolls out , and the blinds check to the raiser. Duhamel continues out with 3.675 million chips, Mizrachi calls, and Racener ducks out of the way. Turn: . Mizrachi checks, and a deliberate Duhamel cuts out a bet of 8.5 million and slides it forward. Mizrachi takes a long soak in the tank ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sunday Micro Grinders Thread/Schedule I final tabled this today - unfortunately got 7th, which burns like the sun right now. Only advice is play loose in rebuy period because people will stack off with top pair regularly, and get into shove mode earlier than you would on Stars when you get short because of different structure/antes. Re:Did poker kill your enjoyment of video games? Yes. For 15 years wrote a monthly computer game column in Computer Gaming World, then PC Gamer, was one of the original contributers for GameSpot, had my own affiliated website on CNET, sold strategy guides back when any official guides were terrible. Still like games, but haven't played any for more than a few minutes in month, and pretty much stopped playing them "other than for work" since 2005. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Jamie Gold at Champion's Invitational WSOP plus other anecdotes Awesome performance: - 2nd hand, loses two-thirds of his stack overplaying JJ. He actually would have probably lost a lot less, because the board was low and connected and got ugly, but by the turn he was whining "o.k., take it" "I guess I'll pay it off", etc., so Carlos Mortensen naturally kept value betting instead of slowing down the action. - few hands later, loses half his remaining stack by calling to river with J7 on Jxx flop. - despite having only about 1200 chips left in 10 minutes, he proceeds to call 3 successive preflop raises out of position, and ... Re:add on ? wsop add on tourny? There are no rebuys at this year's WSOP -- this tourney just gives you the option of when to take your additional chips (which you get no matter what), depending upon whether you'd prefer a "second chance" or a larger initial stack. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Anyone else think FTP's VIP System sucks? That aspect is so damned annoying -- if you play in the Iron Man monthly freerolls, you actually actually end up paying a pretty hefty entrance fee as a result (it was $60 last month, just to play the "freeroll"). Full Tilt is apparently the only rakeback site that does that -- response I got when I asked the question: "Full Tilt deducts bonuses, overlays, points spent and payment processing fees from rakeback. They are the only poker room that deducts tournament overlays." So since the Iron Man VIP tournaments are freerolls, they automatically charge you an equal ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Gus Hansen, sick degenerate Gus seemed to have completely tilted and was playing like a madman late last night -- burned through over $1,000,000 in a relatively short period of time. Re:Dennis Phillips - Over playing aces ...so push allin first and chase out all inferior hands so that you never get additional chips when you're ahead, but are always assured of going broke....not to worry, if you're beat after you've shoved allin you can "adapt your play accordingly" --by switching ipod track to Highway to Hell clearly to speed journey down walk of shame our tourney doors. So embarrassing. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
