Anybody use OpenOffice software?
I have used it a lot and did not have too much trouble between MS and Open Office. Sometimes the Excel formulas did not translate perfectly but that was about it. I did notice that if someone had locked cells in Excel I could open them with Open Office.

I would like to whine some more about traffic tickets...
Most of the red light cameras are run by private companies. The city agrees to pay them for part of the revenue. In Washington if you pay then there is no record of the infraction on your driving record because they want to encourage payment over contesting. Most of the time during a turn the cameras are giving a false positive and can be disputed. The damn things are a racket.

Re:P90X...Veteran's of the Program + N00bs looking to start...GTFI
I just started and am three weeks into it. I was not anywhere near fit when I started and have been able to follow the program. I have dropped 10 lbs already just following this workout with no additional cardio. I have been following the meal plan they prescribe. My whole family has been eating the food. Just takes a while to prepare sometimes. Has not ended up being too much more food bill wise either. To be honest, I havent felt this good for as long as I can remember.

Re:If on a terrorist watch list; should a person be allowed to buy guns and explosives?
I would say you and I have the moral obligation to impose our will on the Gov and it is up to each of us to do what we can to defend this country from harm both internal and external. No one has over the counter access to plastic explosive so how is this even part of the argument

Re:H.R.1966 " The OT goes to jail law"
The law does not say threaten. There are already laws in place for that. Coerce, intimidate, or harass. So you have personel site where you contiually point out the failings of a Gov official. Say that people should force them out of office. Continually send emails to them expressing your feeling on their policies. Bink, off to jail you go. Nice.

I work for a DOD contractor. If you dont mind traveling overseas we may be looking to hire people in the next month or so. We also have offices and jobs in the states. You would have to get you security clearance squared away though. We make a point of hiring ex military. I would need a resume, but I might be able to help you in the civilian world.

Re:People are Electric (very long)
I am sorry. This did come off as meaningless. Originaly, one of the main points of intelegent design is that complex mechanisms don't happen by chance. So starting with the theory that things like our circlutory system, the solar system, was a puposeful design they seek methods to prove it. That is all. Using sceintific method to prove the existance of a creator. Whether it works or not remains to be seen. I am happy to accept whatever the evidence bears out. If there is proof of an Architect of the Universe doesn't mean it has to be a chistian one.

How does anything become true. Through human observation we make things real or not. We postulate on the existance of blackholes not through direct contact but because of how the blackholes exerts it's force on the surrounding universe. Was it there before we observed it' Does the filter we use to interpret the information affect the outcome or the experiment' Does the method we use to perform the experiment affect the data we get'

The existence of the mechanism does not necessarily negate the need for a creator. Isn't that the whole argument behind Intelligent Design' That is the main crux of their argument. Something so complex doesn't happen by chance.

Re:Halliburton and KBR fined 402 million
I do not disagree. Part of my job is pursuing Govement contracts. From the EPA to the milliatary and municipal contracts the whole thing seems rigged. The us just made Dickshitz from party poker millions of dollars. That sounded more like a bribe to me than anything. That is why Im saying labling the payouts bribes or calling these actions coruption seems silly. What we consider a free and open market place does not exist here much less anywhere else.

The US dealings with the locals in Iraq follow the same path. In order to use local contractors all the people above must be compensated in the correct way accoding to their standing in the community. The people lower on the caste system paid part of the money up the line. Thats how the buisness system works. Whats the difference. Without the infrastructure in place nobody gets anything.

Halliburton and KBR fined 402 million
KBR was fined 402 million for paying bribes to key Nigerian officials to win a lucrative project. The contract was to build a 6 billion dollar gas liquidfication plant in Nigeria. I understand that in a supposed open market this practice is illegal and could have terrible consequences. However, in places like Nigeria and Iraq if you don't pay the right people work won't happen. Sometimes thats a gas plant or a poker tournament in Mexico. Sometimes it's a school or water treatment plant in Iraq. You have to pay to play. I do not think what KBR did is out of line. Just wondering how ...

Re:plax case: 3.5 yrs orly??
Intent would be the difference between manslaughter and murder. Murder is planned and the intent is to purposely kill someone thereby breaking the law. Manslaughter is accidently discharging your weapon and unintentionaly causing someones death. You didnt plan it, same result. My point is there is no other reason for a guns existance. It is designed to destroy things in front of it. There can be no other intent. If you plan to carry one don't also tell me you have no intent in some circumstance to hurt someone or something with it.

Re:plax case: 3.5 yrs orly??
I disagree that you could carry a gun without the intent of using it. I carry for personnel protection and my intent is to use the weapon when needed. There is no other purpose to the design of the gun. If do not intend to use the gun and fully understand the function behind its design then you are not accepting the responsibility that comes with it. Also, mandatory sentencing is idiotic. But the punishment shouldn't be scheduled around his wants and needs thats called a vacation.

Re:Holy freaking station Batman!
Does that mean BB should fold to the 2 1/2 raise or reraise. Or BB should fold. I realize that basing action on pot odds alone may not be the best idea but how could you pass on this situation' Original raiser should probally push all in to begin with to avoid being call by the SB who is short and prevent the BB from calling with atc.

Re:Holy freaking station Batman!
What was the reason behind the size of your raise' Seems small. BB is only calling 4725 into a 14k pot. The call is not realy changing the effective size of the BBs stack. Realy, if you are BB what cards should you fold to that raise'
