Best sattelite stories? Ok, the first year I played online was 2005. In January 2005 I had a coworker tell me about PStars and how he had won a gazzilion dollars. I said, "ok, send me $10". He did and I quickly lost it. I proceeded to deposit $50 bucks and played for a couple of months. In March I was broke again, but had some FPPs. I spent 100 FPPs to play a WSOP satty which awarded like 32 seats to the next Sattelite. I placed in the top 32 and went on to make the final table of the next satellite. Did I deserve the abuse? These are spots that I wonder about too. I mean you have 7 BBs...Do you think you will get a better hand than K10 suited in the next 4 hands' Once the blinds pass you are down to 50K and no fold equity on your all in...depending on the other stack sizes. When is it a good time to call it quits....please no smart a@# comments!!! As stated by others in this thread, I would definitely think if you're losing you should focus on playing the right limits for your bankroll. If you have $100 in your account play $1, $2 tournaments occasionally playing the $5 level. This will allow you to get in 50-100 tournament before going broke (if you constantly lose). You need to become a consistent winner before you dig a deeper whole with higher limits. And if you do lose more frequently than you win, study the game, pick up a book or join a training site as others stated. A book I recently found useful was 'Winning Poker ... How much do you love Poker? I'm at work right now looking at Pocket Fives poker discussions (don't worry boss, I'm getting the work done too), so that must mean I love it more than my job...but I don't guess that says a whole lot... Its like a drug, maybe meth, highly addictive you know, "I'll only try it once, I don't want to end up like that guy". But wait, I would like to end up like that guy (Gettin_Daize, Gboro, mementmori, etc...) so I guess its not like meth. Losing internet is the MOST tilting thing ever Seems like there's a commonality in this thread...COMCAST!!! I have issues constantly during the day time hours, something about noise in the line. Then fix it COMCAST, I pay for 24 hours/day of internet, not 12...This can definitely be the one thing that tilts me the most... And my wife coming in to chit chat, when we were sitting in the room together for two hours before I started playing and she had nothing to say then. pocket 2s early position. What do you do with them? limp call...If you raise to 90 here and get re-raised then you probably call 250-270 to see a flop.
