Re(5): Unfair racist and sexist stereotypes
I don't think you can back that up with facts. The best live players in the world continue to be and will always be at least 30. Are you talking about online play' Well if most of the players are college age...then most of the winners would be too. The older you get, the more you see online play as more of a video game than a true representation of live poker. No.....look at the final tables at a typical live series of tourneys....the tables are not full of 22 year olds. Another reason for your mistake is that when a 35 year old with a wife and kids wins $250k at a poker tourney, he goes ...

Re(3): Unfair racist and sexist stereotypes
I am only a n00b on this venue. I am not confused by Asian men. I am saying I understand how they tend to play--generally. This is not a critism of them. Those same guys may defend a raise too strongly in my view, but they also know what to do with the hand post flop. Look at Kenny Tran for a good example. And colleged age boys do not piss me off. I like playing them. In fact, I purposely asked to change tables this weekend to be at a table with a group of college kids buying in for $100 at a time on a 1-2 NL table. It was sweet money. I will not only play with them....I will seek them out.

Re(1): Unfair racist and sexist stereotypes
I am waiting for a reply saying something about middle-aged white men and how we play from another race's point of view. Oh, and folks, I request PLEASE that we keep this post in the light-hearted way it was intended. The Klan is not welcome to this party.

Unfair racist and sexist stereotypes
95% of the time, if someone starts out a thought by saying "I am not a racist" or "I don't have anything against women", then you should discount everything they say after that. The people who know me....know that the following observations fall into the other 5% of the cases. If someone reads the following and somehow thinks I lack respect for races other than my own, they are mistaken or I have simply done a bad job of expressing myself. End of disclaimer. I play alot of cards. Well, hold'em actually. I have a fondness for limit hold'em because I think I "get it" and I am proud of the fact ...

Re(2): WTF Did I sign up to?
Oddly, even though the article has produced lots of hits (unique readers), the number of comments is ZERO. I think the readership is divided into the following groups: Those who think the system is fine as it is. These people trust the sites to be honest (because of the fear of backlash of online players). Those who do not like the terms and conditions at some sites, but feel powerless to affect the status quo. Those that already keep their real-money balances low at sites already in fear of some unfair BS. Those that are waiting for someone else to do something and then they will jump on ...

Re(2): WTF Did I sign up to?
"The sites can do anything...." I guess that is one of my points. Apparently, this fact is acceptable to the community as a whole, otherwise it would not be true. I guess I am startled by the fact that so many people accept this as 'okay' without question. We tend to trust these sites more so than we would should in my view.

WTF Did I sign up to?
Take a peek at this article: It's my opinion that the Terms and Conditions at poker sites are rediculously on-sided. We would never accept these terms from anyone else handling our money. Is it time to start pushing back against the poker sites' On one site, the Terms say that you agree that play is "For entertainment purposes only" and that "Professional play" is not allowed. The penalty is they can close your account and take your money. WTF'
