8. Players who do not show up for their event will either be eliminated from the event, or will be blinded off until they arrive. Players are given 10 minutes to arrive before they are eliminated from the event.

Some guy at my table a couple of days ago was having a similar problem. I suggested that he restart his computer. It worked and I got a quick ty just as he was getting back in and I was busting out. Try restarting your computer!

From everything that I have read this seems like a typical problem that many players, myself included, face. We play tight early to weed out the fish and make it fairly far only to find that we are now shortstacked. One thing that I am trying to do to eliminate this problem is to find that moment in the tournament when I must loosen up my starting hand requirements. I have also tried to pick my spots and steal some blinds more often when they get large enough. Definateley would not happen often.. because people would FOLD the crappy suits! Why go all in with AK vs AK if you have the losing ACE' You must be amazing if you can put your opponent on precisely AK with a lower suited Ace. And besides, if an Ace hits the board the suit of the aces won't come into play!
