Tricky turn spot Tks guys, some great food for thought and analysis. My thought process was that he'd surely shove over my cont bet if he had a flush or open ended str8 draw. A set of Kings or Tens would've gotten it in on such a drawy flop esp given his small stack size. I was afraid of trip 3s or T9 but tentatively called with the insurance of a gutter Q. FT bubble Stars $109 25k, help settle debate... As a previous poster said AA & KK are prob out of the equation. Based on your intro and the 35bb shove, I reckon this is the action of a guy who doesn't want to leave himself open to a 3bet / shove (known in the poker community as an unexploitable shove they tell me :) This to me opens his range to 22+ A8s+ AT+. UTG opening range? Given the table dynamics described i'd say it's a definite open raise. Were the table very aggro then a case may be made for folding but I think the main point coming from the thread is to be observant to potential shoving stacks before opening. Final table bubble spot This is a clear call I'd say. Villains range is just about ATC and your need to chip up before the final table outweighs the likely flip you'll be making. I'd be calling any K, any suited Q, high to mid suited conns etc. As the table is so active you may not get a better chance to accumulate. UB cashouts on hold worldwide???? Have had an approved payout (to MB) since last Fri morn. Been emailing and chatting with UB but am only getting canned responses which keep being put in the "next few days" bracket. Payout is for a modest $300 (altho i have more on site) so not end of world for me and I feel for people with more tied up. If UB were seriously trying to clear things up and continue surely they would treat these enquiries with more respect' Even if it blows over and people get paid there will prob be a rush on remainder funds (esp as a result of the standard of communication recently).
