Question for Sports Bettors in Vegas Whats up guys, another Vegas question here. Im getting into beautiful Nevada Monday around 11PM EST, so 8PM EST vegas time. At midnight est, 2am est, 6am etc. My question is whether or not their are books that are going to actually stay open and take action at these hours' I will almost exclusively be at the Mirage book if that helps, but for this night Id be willing to move around if necessary. Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Directory Play is still awful, (competition that is) and it gets worse every time I visit. $125 isn't bad, ill probably load that up on the first or second day, see how I do then go from there. My favorite thing to do in Vegas is bet on sports, and I do it at the Mirage and I know they have a nice room (haven't yet played in it obv). Vegas Tournaments? Im headed to Vegas in August, ill be there during the week (Monday-Thursday). Its not my first time to vegas but its my first time going as a 21 year old so I feel more comfortable getting up from the SB and heading to the poker tables. I live 20 minutes from the Turning Stone but I absolutely hate (with a firing passion) their tournaments, feels like you're playing a super turbo (these are the dailys not the big shabangs that they do every so often). plo tourny hand question? Rarely do i see someone 4 bet all in without aces or kings so I knew I would be behind, but felt like at that point for 10k more I kind of had to call. I suppose this all couldve been taken care of had I simply flatted the UTG raise, and went from there. New-ish to Omaha...good or bad decision? If someone is going to call with a lower flush draw then I want to come to this game asap. With just an open ended you should take the free card IMHO. If you have a full wrap here, I bet and get it in. Free cards are far more beneficial in plo, which is why many people arent going to check and give you the opportunity. New-ish to Omaha...good or bad decision? Big dog bc is an open ended straight draw, imo this is a pretty clear fold, I dont think your getting check raised w/ 2 pair to often right here. Open ended straight draws are pretty much useless in omaha (8 outs) , obviously you have the heart draw to go along with it, but I think its still a fold. qj8x or something along those lines, giving you a 16 card wrap is much more playable, and makes you a favorite after the flop.
