Black Hawk is about an hour away. The most active poker rooms are at Golden Gates, Ameristar, and the Lodge (action at the Isle will hopefully pick up after the WPT Regional event shows up there in October). I typically only play cash games up there, but if you're looking for a tournament you're visit will coincide with this: /

How long does UB withdrawal usually take?
As RKuczek said, my last few bank transfers have taken about a week total from the day I request a payment to the day it actually posts in my account. Never tried the paper check thing.

best poker training videos for 6max SNGs?
I play exclusively 6max SNGs and was curious about subscribing to a poker training site such as Cardrunners, Deucescracked, or something similar. I've browsed the video selections at these sites, but it's hard to tell which site offers higher quality selections for the type of game I play. I always hear reviews regarding the MTT videos, but not so much for SNGs. Does anybody have opinions on which site is best for 6max SNGs' Also, I generally play lower stakes in the $5 to $10 range, but would like to slowly move up. Thanks!

Re(1): Colorado Players
denver poker tour is great in my opinion, although it might depend upon which bars you play at. yes there are usually a couple clueless (or drunk) folks, but in my experiences most people really want to advance to the regional tournaments so they are trying to win. also, the top 3 spots every night receive bar tabs so there is added incentive there. one more thing, the tour is expanding into other states so you should check out the website to see where. i know so far arizona, wyoming, and a few others are on the list.

Re(2): eating at me...
thanks everyone. i appreciate all the helpful comments. oh how i wish i had just folded at some point pre-flop... shootthemoon, thanks for your thoughts on when to be aggressive. i think now i agree with you. while playing the tournament my goal was to make the FT with a well above average stack so i could make a run at a top 3 finish (each awarded over 1k i believe). but for the reasons you stated, this might have been the wrong time to try to gain chips with pocket nines. to follow up on that though, from your experience do you notice the play tighten up again when it's down to the last 12 ...

eating at me...
i can't help feeling like i blew it in the UB $10k on Friday afternoon. just curious what anybody else thinks. with 17 people left (top 20 paid) i had pocket 9s in middle position. i was 6th or 7th in chips with about 19k. blinds were something like 1000. first position with about 16k in chips raises to 2.5k. here is where i might have made a mistake but i reraised to about 6k. my thinking was that it's good to be aggressive at this stage of a tournament in order to accumulate chips and that nines are not a great bet to hold up against multiple opponents, so i wanted to either A) take all ...

Re(1): large fields
btw, harrington's book is great! he included a short section covering online poker tournament play, but the general stuff can, in my opinion, apply to much of online tournament play as well. it's broken down nicely into the early, middle, and late stages of a tournament and is fairly inclusive. i'll leave the actual large-field tournament advice to those who are more qualified to speak on this subject.
