Most important lesson i have learned in my poker play After playing cash games all summer and most of the fall i decided about a month ago to start playing more MTT's. I still am only playing mtt's a few nights a week, but in the limited schedule i have had more successs in the last 6 weeks than the year and a half before when I played a lot more MTT's. The biggest lesson I have learned is trust your gut. Last night I was chatting with a friend on IM who was watching me play. I picked up 66 in the BB in a FullTilt 6max $109 buyin tournament. This hand happened soon after we entered the money. UTG limped for 600, mid position raised to 1800, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

December PLB Prop-Bet Anyone interested in a small December P5 PLB prop bet' I'm thinking $100 to enter. Points as calculated by P5 during December count. Not sure if it should be a winner take all or 70/30 for the top 2, guess that depends on how many enter. I know that $100 is not a lot for the pros or sunday contest players but I think it is a good amount for the rest of us middle of the pack players Thoughts' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Three limit questions... I value raise preflop... you are ahead build a pot. When you play limit you want to win big hands and lose small hands. On the flop I raise from the button because someone may have bet withthe J to see where they are and you represented the Ace pre. And worstcase scenerio they check to you on the turn and you get the turn andriver for free. You can then decide what to do on the turn depending what hits. Also lets say uou are playing 5/10.. if you raise the flop you pay $10 to see all 5 cards more often than not. If you just call it cost you $15 to see the river card Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): The average losing player..... Last year was my first full year... i lost about 8k (but i had it to lose). This year I turned to cash games and turned that around. but i would imagine the avg player has got to lose 1-2-3k a year. and I have got to believe that the high majority of players are losing players. Playing cash games i always tag the bad fish and add them to a buddy list.. they usually last about a week (or when im really lucky a month) then are replaced by new fish. Also i datamine on Full tilt around the clock. I should go through sometime and look at every one and see what they win/lose. But when i do go to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): My stack size dilemma If I thought he was going to make a move on me then im calling when he makes the move. If im calling anyways then i am not happy calling with QJ so I just push into him. If I dont think he will make a move unless he has a real hand then i bet 1200 which would be standard for me and i will not call his push. If he as A2 then i am behind and not calling if im behind. Re(4): Poker players against Jon Kyl Beanie i respect you greatly... and i will get flamed for this but there is no way i could ever vote for peterson. My vote will still be cast for Kyle. I disagree with this vote and am not happy with it, but if you take 50 issues I may agree with peterson on 1 and kyle on 49. I have called a member of his staff that I am friends with and expressed my displeasure with this, but i cant vote for someone i disagree with on so many issues like i do with peterson. if you care about protecting our borders without amnisty, controlling taxes and the integrity of the candidate at all then there is no ...
