I was under the impression that if the cards hit the muck, they are officially dead regardless. Apparently, the situation is different (who knew) here because the cards are still live before they hit the muck. I was also under the impression that poker is also a game of deception (joke or not), so why are you guys getting mad at his friend for saying something under false pretense' The other guy got mad and threw his cards away taking it seriously, believing the deception in the first place (joke or not). Also, I realized that my betting pattern there almost seemed like a flush draw as well. Another question I have is that, is it okay for me to play out of position with 79s without putting in a bigger bet to see where my opponents were (since I was only at the table for about 30-45 minutes at that time so I didn't have all the information atm) or was a check preflop acceptable'

So, basically his reraise was to find out how strong my "ace" was. If I had re-reraise him, would that have potentially scare him off or no' Suppose the turn never gave me the boat and the action was still similar, would a call on the river still be appropriate with (originally) bottom two pairs'

Ther'ea a lot of conversation going on in this thread so I'm not exactly clear if Nat is still going to CR or not but I'm going to assume that he's still deciding. I think this is a good way for the online community to get an independent view from a third party (Nat, in this case) and right now, we really need to see what the hell is really going on at AP for two reasons A) hundreds (if not thousands) of innocent people's jobs are at risk here. Suggestions on regulating online poker
Since there's a problem with multi-accounting and underage youth, wouldn't it be an appropriate idea to enforce ALL players to send in a copy of their ID to confirm their age and identity' As an result, it'll get rid of the underage people (no offense to them) and it'll stop most of the multi-accounting going on. edit: everyone can make their own suggestions.

Eh, I think the spelling error was the fault of the publisher rather than the official who made the statement. I still would like the name of the official though because I don't think this story has any credibility without proof.

Mark Seif is the Jack Thompson of Online Poker. 8) But seriously, I'm glad something is being done but I think they have to do a lot more in order to bring the players back again. Hell, they have to do just as much just to bring in more new players. I was planning on depositing on AP before I found out about the whole scandal and right now, I don't feel comfortable being on there due to the lying that was going on.
